OSU: Scout Team Helmets Converted to Winged Helmets for Rivalry Week
Someone (not naming names) pointed out some content on 11Warriors regarding Don Brown.
Out of curiosity - I spent a little more time on their site, and noticed this article.
Apparently Ohio State is forcing having their Scout Team don Winged Helmets in anticipation of the Game.
I can't imagine Michigan doing this - but #Harbaugh might take any and all steps necessary to fire up the team.
Yes, scout players will be subjected to wearing Michigan's winged pattern helmets. Let's hope this results in zero deaths.
What say you? Could you see our backups donning Silver and Grey (barf!) to set the tone?
***Edit: Tried to Embed the Video but it wouldn't work***
***Edit 2: Apparently people took the "Big Game" too seriously***

That is cringey as fuck...

"TTUN" is the cringiest though. I see that and an unreasonable rage creeps into my soul for a few seconds before I remind myself how fucking stupid it is.
My uncle is part of the "dipshit OSU fan en masse" that we all think of when thinking of coolers being defecated in and the like. Anyway, he's been texting me, relentlessly, using "TTUN" liberally throughout.
This seemingly harmless acronym makes me hate, HATE, my own uncle. I don't know why. Stupid is as stupid does and all, but FUCK ME I HATE THAT SHIT.
Fuckin, "TTUN haz no chance this year lolz"
UAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHHUUUGGGGGG!!!!

I fucking hate all those arrogant assholes

I have a few things I'd love to "share" with him!

Honestly you've got to admire their dedication.
I hope they got the updated finish right. Can you imagine the confusion if JT Barrett stepped up under center and found himself staring down a pack of Matte winged helmets instead of the Gloss ones he practiced against?
November 21st, 2016 at 2:45 PM ^
I think you meant: "adXire their dedication"

There, I did see what you did.

I love it. It shows that Urban takes The Game as seriously as he should. It's really something that should permeate the entire culture, of both schools and their athletic dept's.
Go Blue. Beat the bucks.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:06 PM ^
to be this guy, but it isn't The Big Game.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:08 PM ^
that's right up there with calling us "Big Blue"
November 21st, 2016 at 2:14 PM ^
quite as bad as calling us "the Wolves" though. Seriously, the Wolves? People actually say that and it makes me cringe.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:19 PM ^
It took me 5 seconds to figure out why we would be called the "Wolves." That's a truly terrible shorthand nickname.
November 21st, 2016 at 3:10 PM ^
If we are weasels, we're Dire Weasels.

Your priorities and value system makes me cringe.

Go Clarkston!
November 21st, 2016 at 3:28 PM ^
Because I despise the monikers referenced, "big blue" and "the wolves." They make me want to kill something in cold blood and then desecrate the remains. As most would envision a Wolverine naturally doing.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:10 PM ^
I'm hoping the Lions somehow end up playing in the "Big Game."
November 21st, 2016 at 2:34 PM ^
Why would they be playing the Stanford-Cal matchup?
November 21st, 2016 at 2:43 PM ^
From the Super Bowl wiki:
The NFL restricts the use of its "Super Bowl" trademark; it is frequently called the Big Game or other generic terms by non-sponsoring corporations. Because of the high viewership, commercial airtime during the Super Bowl broadcast is the most expensive of the year, leading to companies regularly developing their most expensive advertisements for this broadcast. As a result, watching and discussing the broadcast's commercials has become a significant aspect of the event.[10] In addition, popular singers and musicians including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Beyoncé, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Whitney Houston have performed during the event's pre-game and halftime ceremonies.
November 21st, 2016 at 3:10 PM ^
I assume other acceptable names include "The Big Short Concert", "A Series Of Commercials Interrupted By Game Activity", "Ed", and "Where Cam Newton Mysteriously Disappeared".
It's just kind of amusing that the NFL really cares who calls it "The Super Bowl" apparently.
November 21st, 2016 at 3:37 PM ^
It's amusing and ludicrous. I guess they don't want your local wings joint advertising the NFL's biggest game because they'd rather you watch it at home, for better tv ratings?
November 21st, 2016 at 2:14 PM ^
That's right. It's called the Mega Millions now.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:21 PM ^
It isn't "The Game" either. That's Harvard-Yale.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:09 PM ^
I will be sad if our scout team players have to wear Ohio State helmets. That seems like unnecessary abuse.
November 21st, 2016 at 3:08 PM ^
I really hope Harbaugh doesn't take it to that extreme. Doing so would require an extraordinary amount of bird droppings on a perfectly good helmet to replicate the OSU look.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:11 PM ^
I'm going to write OSU on all of my toilet paper rolls so I can wipe my filthy arsehole with OSU all week.

you made yourself an account over there. then posted the oscar meyer meme. nicely done.
i would ask if they sent you to bolvia, but if you're in ohio, aren't you already in a place that's way worse? bolivia would be an upgrade.

Yeah - I had to troll a 'lil bit. All in good fun!
TECHNICALLY I am in Ohio - but fun fact...Toledo where I lived USED to be part of Michigan - until the "Ohio/Michigan War" of 1835.
Ohio was "awarded" Toledo, while Michigan got much of the U.P.
http://www.ohiohistorycentral.org/w/Toledo_War
So in my mind - I really AM in Michigan!
November 22nd, 2016 at 1:17 PM ^
and would trade the entire state of ohio, not just the sliver that was toledo, for the UP. in fact, there's probably a few more states i'd trade too.
also, your post over there inspired me to get an account. it was pretty easy, but is still 'pending'. i might just post over there. we'll see.

These OSU counterfeit helmets look like our week 1 helmets. They should be adorned with stickers by the time that the OSU game rolls around. Maybe that will confuse them in the game.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:26 PM ^
to find a legitimate reason for making the scout team wear the Winged helmet.

maybe college kids are different enough so that this moves the needle, but I perfer what I see as the Harbaugh method, which is to put every ounce of energy and every minute into getting ready to go out and be the best team they have been all year. If you don't get this game, having the scout team with opposing helmets won't get you there.
November 21st, 2016 at 3:16 PM ^
like redecorating a pink locker room?
November 21st, 2016 at 2:22 PM ^
I've got nothing but respect for the guys who show up every day in practice and end up on the scout team, even at OSU.
Let those guys enjoy wearing the best helmets in football for once - they've earned it.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:33 PM ^
Wormley said the Michigan scout team doesn't wear anything representing OSU "Back with coach Hoke we did. it switched with coach Harbaugh"

I'm sure that's the reason we lost last year.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:29 PM ^
We did this on demo back in the day. We used athletic tape and colored it with markers. We also wore red jerseys with white letters.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:30 PM ^
But is the maize right?
November 21st, 2016 at 2:31 PM ^
I think we used to do this. At least for MSU. They had the scout team wear green helmets.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:34 PM ^
Kinda funny they refuse to say Michigan or even use the letter M, then go and make their scout team look like Michigan.
November 21st, 2016 at 4:18 PM ^
And, as stated several times, their coach's initials are UM.
November 21st, 2016 at 2:42 PM ^
if they call me in to dress up as the weird nut guy. I'd do it. Win the game. Whatever it takes.
