OSU QB Cardale Jones Twitter hilarity

Submitted by Benoit Balls on

So, apparently 3rd string OSU QB Cardale Jones is not fond of having to go to classes while he is in Columbus. He posted this to his Twitter Account:

some lulz for Friday afternoon. The MGoGrammar Police could have a field day with this one

What an idiot.  Even if 99.99% of players are thinking the same thing, don't tweet it for the world to see.  Nice work mentoring your kids, Urban.  Way to recognize the ones that might need some extra help.

To his defense, last summer he had a weekend off and received his Chiropractor certificate, so he is pretty much set.

I have sympathy for this kid because he is so stupid. He probably has not attended or learned anything in a class since he started playing organized football in middle school.

He raises a valid point. Universities give the education given to these young men little to no value. The only reason they go to classes is so the NCAA can claim amateurism while they sit back and profit off of "student-athletes" labor.

This doesn't surprise. The whole student athlete thing is a joke at some universities. I would not be happy I was Meyer. Didn't he say he was going to ban twitter. My need to go back to that rule.

This is serious stuff.  If he doesn't go to class, how will he ever learn to properly appreciate music.  He could be unaware of the existance of AIDS.  And his golf score will definitely suffer.  Get yourself to class young man.

It's comments like these that make me wish there wasn't a limit on the number of years before a player can declare for the draft.  So many of these kids have this attitude, not just Cardale Jones.  If you don't want to be in school, leave!  Lots of kids wish they were at that school, especially for free!

I know I'll sound like an old fogey here, but this is why I think all college students need to be sat down and shown just how damaging social media can be if you don't understand its scope.  I was in college right before Facebook really started to take hold (back when AIM was the king of online discourse), and I'd shudder to think how dumb every one of my classmates would sound if people could broadcast their inner idiocy to everyone.

Its people like this I can't stand that go to OSU. They take a scholarship and the gift of learning away from a student who would normally want to learn and give it to people like Jones who don't care.... I honestly think Meyer needs to make an example of some of his players that this type of behavior is unacceptable. Chances are he won't because he is a coward. Is it that hard to go to class and play football? If these players need help, they can go to Younkin Success Center and get help from the tutors for the athletes. SMH.

I go to OSU for journalism/pre-law. I tweet every day about how pointless geology is and how much I hate it but have to take it to satisfy some "requirement." I don't play football. No one cares. Go figure.

I thought Urban banned Ohio players from posting on Twitter?

Of course at one point they banned reporters from using it at his press conferences and the very next day rescinded that decision.
