OSU pulls a DB, confiscates water at spring game
Lot of hi-jinx going on in columbus right now.
Utterly ridiculous that #OhioState is confiscating bottled water going in the gates so they can charge you $4 apiece inside. WATER.

also, a kid was trampled by overweight ebay guys when OSU decided to sell equipment.
Actually, that may be the first time this decade I looked at one of these photos and thought the featured Buckeye fan was doing something cool. That's an original way to celebrate halloween football. I'm into the idea...just not the color preferences.
I don't plan to derivatize it for a winged helmet (I have neither the courage nor the requisite free time), but if someone did and the photos leaked here, I bet the mgo-pinions would be overwhelmingly positive.
I see it and think, "Melonhead."
this is sounding like a stanford board. derivatize. or maybe i am the dumb alumni no one talks about.
No, you're fine - there's a good reason you've never heard that "word" before.
Look, it's the great bumpkin Charlie Brown!

Water is for cowards. Water makes you weak.
But then I realized I was comparing Urban to Denzel Washington in my head, so I threw up a little bit in my mouth and immediately stopped.
They said it was going to go fast and they also said it was a lot of stuff people wouldn't want like a size 18 cleat. Not cleats...a cleat. Or an XXXL t-shirt.
I'd say that you all should read, but, well, you know...
And $6,000 isn't a lot considering they were selling the chrome helmets for $1,500 a piece.
I heard all about this shitstorm before it even happened. They knew it was coming...

You seem a tad on edge today.

But the mob mentality is stupid...people getting worked up over literally nothing.
Save it for things that matter, like Shane Morris/Concussion or Dave Brandon. Otherwise, you dilute it and no one takes you seriously when it's time to be serious.
I spoke directly with an Associate AD at OSU last week about this and he told me about this sale thing while we rode in the car together. Said they've been trying like hell to tamper the expectations and get people to realize it's not even good "stuff" they're selling. The good stuff was the chrome helmets OSU has worn...that's about it.
So because people chose to ignore the messages, they can now get all worked up? I mean, that's silly.
I have absolutely nothing to do with that damn school and even I know the shit wasn't any good. You mean to tell me someone willing to stand in line for 3 hours didn't know? I didn't even go looking for the information.
That's all. I just think it's silly that some (not all) think they can feed the mob, and that's what passes these days. Sometimes, I'm all for it...like I said, concussions, Brandon, absolutely. But going ape shit because Harbaugh wants to watch a movie or going crazy because you stood in line and didn't get to buy a jock strap seems dumb in my eyes.
But that's just me.

Thank God we have you here to tell us what matters, sir! We'd never survive without your incredible insights into college athletics Gameday Operations.
Thank you for letting us know that you've worked with AD's in several major institutions. I wasn't going to read your posts with the air of authority they clearly deserve. "Don't you know who I am?" Well, I didn't, but I do now. It's so nice to be informed.
"I spoke directly with an Associate AD at OSU last week about this and he told me about this sale thing while we rode in the car together."
Yes, what idiots those thousands of people were, why didn't they gleen the same thing when all of them shared a car ride with the associate AD? I mean what on earth do people do when they all get their weekly face time with athletic dept officials?
"Said they've been trying like hell to tamper the expectations and get people to realize it's not even good "stuff" they're selling."
That's the problem right there, if he had only been trying like hell to get them to TEMPER expectations the whole thing wouldn't have happened!
Instead he tampered with expectations until they were jacked way up! It's your guys fault!!!
"I have absolutely nothing to do with that damn school and even I know the shit wasn't any good."
Maybe because you shared a ride with an associate AD?

Two Michigan offerees committed to Ohio State today at their spring game:
2016 center Jack Wohlabaugh
2017 cornerback Marcus Williamson
Wish them the best and may their scholarships last 4 years.
I'm sure this is relevant to this thread in some way, but I can't quite fathom what.
About 80% of OSU commits have will have UM offers and vice versa.
Sold them water for half price. The "Bill of Goods" was free.

Unfortunately, like quarterbacks, OSU has so much fan goodwill they can afford to burn off a ton without effect.
