This -- he's enrolling early. I wish that I could chalk this up to a clever trolling attempt but this is how ridiculous recruiting news has gotten.

Yeah, these kids have such a delusional idea of their self worth because a bunch of coaches tell them they're good at football.
Kid not only has a press conference to announce he's enrolling early, but he issues a press release announcing the press conference.
Recruiting may have just jumped the shark for me.
Sorry for my rant, y'all.
Now get off my lawn.
EDIT: To be fair, maybe the kid was just tweaking the media to get a laugh out of it. I hope it was something like that and not a serious attempt at making a grand announcement.

Kudos to all of you that follow recruiting. I read about it but good God for the life of me, I don't understand the whole "gotta have a press conference" stuff. Really? are players that starved for attention? I guess that's why I don't do twitter and facebook and everything else.
Thanks for letting me rant. I guess I'm cranky because UM doesn't play for two weeks.
