Jim Stillwagon a osu hall of famer was arrested. Looks like he was riding his motorcycle when a truckdriver cut him off, he then opened fire on the truckdriver.

The driver apparently only had the wind knocked out of him though, and soon after continued on his route.

but I think I set the record for using the term "guy" most times in one post. Too much viewing of "Not Without My Anus" with Terrence, Phillip and Saddam Hussein saying "guy" every few seconds, I guess.

Now I have the record.
Guy (rhymes with nasally 'high') a la wiseguy.
Or French-Canadian Guy ('ghee' as in Guy LaFleur)?

The truck driver was an OSU graduate he did not want to press charges.
as luck would have it I'm existing in the filter bubble.
This is extremely frightening.
Hail! to the Victors Valiant Hail!
Stillwagon was drafted by the Green Bay Packers but opted for a career in the CFL.
But really this is kind of tragic for somebody whose life must have, at some point, seemed full of promise.
RIP my avatar, June 14, 1998 - October 26, 2012.
Pursuing a career in the CFL was probably a good choice. He was only 6' 0" and 240 pounds (still bigger than Henry Hill who was 5' 11" and 220). Green Bay wanted him as a LB because he was so small. In the CFL he was All CFL several times.
"After all was said and done, there was nothing left to do."
Good lord.
Also, the little sign in front of his face is very confusing. Apparently the people in that area hate Ohio so much they thought they'd name their city after a different state?

Grand Rapids seem to like their state ok, I think.

Thanks for ruining my joke.

Thank God it wasn't Maurice Clarett.
Ak-47s are much more accurate.

If he was on a motorcycle the guy in the truck could have squashed him like a bug. I ride and I'm always worried about texters and they aren't trying to kill me.
Secondly, he's fortunate the guy in the truck wasn't carrying and a better shot than him. It is a pickup truck and all.
The guy dodged Darwin 2X
Delaware County is only a few short miles north of the 270 outerbelt that encircles Columbus. I feel vulnerable.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
As I understand it, Stillwagon either passed too close to the truck or did something to upset the other driver. The other guy began tailgating Stillwagon - which is much more dangerous for a motorcyclist than in a car - and tried to run him off the road, which is when Stillwagon opened fire. I'm not sure how they wound up at the gas station.
After reading the thread title I was expecting that the entire Ohio HOF got arrested. That would be atrocious(ly) (hilarious).
You sound like you're from London
...breathed a sigh of relief when he opened this
thread and found out it wasn't about him.
I thought this exact same thing and lo, it had come to pass. Seriously, though, Schlichter is the first name that comes to mind when it comes to the depressing lives of former OSU players-- which, come to think of it, would make a really good book.
"It was open," Toussaint said. "I can't compare this hole to any other holes because I can't remember that but it was a huge hole."
I wonder if the truck had Michigan plates.
Bob Ufer is laughing his ass off right now... "10,000 alumni and 74,000 truck drivers." Ha!
the law of threes means that a Notre Dame guy is next. Lou Holtshs? Tom "Creepy Eyes" Hammond? Ron Powlus? Or was it already Rudy the scammer?
I just took a time machine a few months into the future and got his trial transcript:
Stillwagon: "Your Honor, the light reflected off of the championship ring I got playing for Woody, and it temporarily blinded me. In the confusion, my custom hunting handgun accidentally discharged."
Judge: "Case dismissed."
This is simply amazing...I had no idea AOL still existed!
Victors Valiant
How else to explain a 63 year old guy riding around on his cycle trying to gun down a trucker who pissed him off?
wolverine 73
over a fourteen mile chase, then got out of his car, tried to pistol whip the guy when the gun fired and grazed the guys head and is currently only charged with felonious assault? He was a couple inches from killing a guy with a handgun, misfire or not.
