Stillwagon was drafted by the Green Bay Packers but opted for a career in the CFL.
But really this is kind of tragic for somebody whose life must have, at some point, seemed full of promise.

Pursuing a career in the CFL was probably a good choice. He was only 6' 0" and 240 pounds (still bigger than Henry Hill who was 5' 11" and 220). Green Bay wanted him as a LB because he was so small. In the CFL he was All CFL several times.

The other guy began tailgating Stillwagon - which is much more dangerous for a motorcyclist than in a car - and tried to run him off the road, which is when Stillwagon opened fire. I'm not sure how they wound up at the gas station.
