OSU game start time?

Submitted by uniqenam on

Thanks to some good fortune I'll be able to successfully embark on my Hajj to AA for the OSU game, but only if it's a 12:00 game...does anyone have any info or know when it is? I thought it was typically a noon game, but perhaps I'm wrong, and I couldn't find anything definitive after some light google-fu.

The networks will not make their selections until day 12 at the earliest (i.e., November 18).  Noon seems likely, but is not guaranteed.

I wouldn't pass on the opportunity; you can always get rid of them later if it doesn't work out, right?

PRO:  Since they moved the OSU-Michigan game to Thanksgiving weekend (starting in 2010), the game has always been at noon on ABC, as part of a tripleheader.

CON:  Unfortunately, I don't see 3 games on Thanksgiving Saturday this year that ABC has the rights to and would want to broadcast nationally.  CBS gets to pick Alabama-Auburn and either Florida State-Florida or Clemson-South Carolina, with the other game going to ESPN (not ABC), and FOX owns Notre Dame-Stanford.  ABC is left with dregs, but they will still probably go with a noon-3:30 doubleheader, with the OSU game at noon and maybe Baylor-TCU and Wisconsin-Penn State (or Minnesota-Michigan State?) reverse mirrored at 3:30.

But last night during the Louisville-UConn gamme they showed a graphic that said it was at 12 ET. I was very excited and looked it up on mgoblue but it still says TBA.
