OSU averages 52 Yards of Penalties a game in 2016 yet had only 6 yds of penalties-

Submitted by Rdog on

I was at the game-  thought the late PI call was wrong and after seein it on review it was clearly an incorrect call.  The ball was uncatchable and contact occurred at the same time the ball was at the receiver's hand.

In 2016, OSU averaged 51 yards of penalties when playing a home game other than today's game.

Even worse was the non-PI call against OSU when Darboh is held and then thrown down but no call is made.

Yes, Michigan could have played better but who knows how much better Speight plays if his  receivers aren't held.

OSU can't be B1G champion because they don't deserve that chance or even their #2 CFP ranking. Why? ... they lost to PSU, barely beat UW in OT, barely beat a lowly MSU after a botched MSU 2-pts, barely beat IU, and was gifted the UM game in 2OTs. This is no #2 team in the nation. Look at the game film - every fucking time they were given theh calls or no-calls to win ... EVERY FUCKING GAME! The B1G needs new leadership SOON.

Msu trolls were out in droves on mlive to celebrate the Michigan lose. They were acting like there was no issue with refs and Michigan fans are making excuses. Which is funny for a few reasons. One, they make a thread about how refs blew it for them after every lose, even when they get a bunch of help from them. And 2, osu got a few very big non calls on osu last week that helped them win. The same can be said about Wisc, osu needed the refs to win that one. That's why I hate sparty fans. They just route against Michigan even if it hurts them. Being ok with the refs giving osu wins is bad for them. Osu is talented enough to not get helped out in all their big games.

Were the two false starts the only penalties on them the entire game? I thought that Harbaugh got the offsides one wrong. That was definitely on us although they fucked up the facemask by giving us a 3rd down when it occured after we gained the 1st down.

There was no fucking way the refs were going to signal 1st down Michigan. 105k ohio fans knew it. Ohio players knew it. Urban Meyer knew it. Only one who didnt know was Harbaugh.

They average about 5 flags per game, which I think would be a common amount for good teams. You also have to think that teams playing from behind probably have a tendency to hold and foul more. Two penalties just defies logic.

Fuck you and your so called "fandom" you motherfuckers forgot that this team has been a shit show for 9yrs and all of the sudden this is not good enough for you? You have lost 5 games in two years idiot, you know how hard that is in college sports played by kids? You lost 7 games in one season two years ago and all of the sudden you want to win a championship, with the same guys who couldnt carry more than 20yrds a game during Hokes years. I am glad these guys came through this year but lets not kidd ourselves Jim needs his own guys.

Not at all. It's called recognizing effort and teamwork.

Michigan played as a team. They busted their ass. They gave everything they had. Your "all or nothing" outlook is not productive at all. This is sports. That's it. This is not something serious. It's entertainment. All or nothing matters only in life or death circumstances.

Anyways, acknowledging effort and teamwork is scarcely accepting defeat. UM will surely use this unsuccessful attempt at reaching a goal as motivation. Everyone gets knocked down. That's life. It is how you respond to being knocked down that defines you.

Well I mean apparently one of the officals...the side judge I think I read is in the Ohio HS officials hall of fame. I mean he would never lean one way. Name is Bobby Sagers Jr who those who might ask.

I think Niyo is the one who tweeted that.

Want to get mad? Look at the pussy play calling by not running deveon and going empty set on first down. Total lack of capitalization on momentum provided by the defense. This one is on Harbaugh and fisch
