OSU and MSU to Honor Chad Carr - Special Helmet Stickers
Both OSU and MSU will be honoring Chad Carr with helmet stickers supporting the ChadTough foundations, per the Detroit News.
A classy gesture by both programs - a tip of the hat to both.

I'm not going to blast you anymore bc I know that's what gets you off, but hope you take a moment to realize how low and petty you are, especially posting on a Friday night no less. Get a life buddy.

The meteor can now come in the 2nd quarter instead of the first. Very cool move.

I'm with you... every article I read and each time Tammy's facebook post is quoted I get that way. It's such a terrible thing.

No meme necessary for this. Just an all-around great move by our rivals to show love and respect to the grandson of a great former Michigan coach. *Tips cap*

of a town and their cheating ways!
But a tip of the cap to them for a very classy gesture. Obviously such tragedy is much bigger than any game or rivalry.
As for MSU, never really hated them, they are just more annoying and delusional to me...but this is one time where I must acknowledge their class.
Ugh, now I hate OSU for not being able to completely hate them....Mind fucked!

This is a thread I found on 11 Warriors that relates to the decoration of the Carr house so Chad could celebrate one last Christmas at home.

I was delighted by the support and kind words from many of the Buckeye posters.

...the *whole* state of Michigan.
Or at least they can be reasonable when it comes to matters that transcend state boundaries, sporting events, or collegiate ties.
As a father of two children - one Chad's age - I've been hypersensitive about making the most of every second I have with them. Glad to see the sensitivity and support is shared among bitter rivals.

This makes me recall the little boy who was at Mott getting treatment for a tumor who named the tumor "Michigan" and vowed to "Beat Michigan". I hope like Hell he did (and that he lives a long and happy life, with the happiness punctuated only by a slew of Michigan football, basketball, hockey, etc.victories against OSU)!
November 20th, 2015 at 1:17 PM ^
The last story I could find about him was a year ago, when he predicted a close OSU victory in The Game. It said he had indeed beaten the tumor and was cancer-free. Wish all these stories could end this way.

I wanted to cry. And then I wanted to run out of the office and hug my 8 year old son.

Since the MSU band spelled out "Chad Tough" and OSU players helped the basketball team hang Christmas lights at Chad's house, I think I'll dig deep and direct more of my rivalry hate toward the Illini.
November 20th, 2015 at 1:34 PM ^
SCREW YOU ILLINOIS FOR SOME REASON.
November 20th, 2015 at 4:08 PM ^
Perfect. Now the Illini board can get all verklempt as well.
Go B1G or go home!!!!

I mean I don't think the programs hate the people who they play against its more of the fans who flame that fire but I'm glad they are doing this for Chad.

What is this salty liquid I'm excreting from my eye glands? This is certainly a new development!

It's nice to see that not everyone in the world is an asshole because if you watch the news it certainly seems like everyone is. I don't know if prayers work, but hell it's worth a shot in this case. Can't hurt.
November 20th, 2015 at 3:13 PM ^
exactly. there are so many more stories like this that we never know about because the news is all about instilling fear into our lives.

Great move by both schools. Some things are bigger than a rivarly, and sports in general.

That's really incredible...well done to both schools.

As a father of a 2 1/2 year old boy and a newborn boy I cannot even comprehend what the Carr family is going through. I can't even read the articles without crying and putting myself in their shoes. Your kids aren't supposed to die before you and certainly not at 5 with such a future ahead of him. Life is so damn precious and this is a solid reminder to live it to the fullest. When I beat myself up over a freaking Michigan loss it seems so damn foolish compared to real life tragedies such as this.

BIGHOUSE, I have cried more than once reading the Chad Carr story. As a father it's almost unbearable to consider. Our niece is battling brain cancer that has come back a second time and between the two situations, have had a pit in my stomach for weeks.

This is an extraordinary measure of respect and sportsmanship. This has to be acknowledged. And we just hope and pray that Chad feels the warmth of so many thinking and praying for him.

I hate our rivals and love them at the same time. There is no one else I'd rather have as a rival.
I hope OSU wins Saturday by forfeit, I will never root for either team --- ever. But I appreciate this rivalry and this gesture more than any win or loss.
I love sports. This is just flat out awesome.

`Extermely cool move by our rivals. This will be remembered for a long, long time. And like many others have posted, I have 3 little kids about the same age as Chad and this is a truly heart wrenching situation that I can't possibly fathom and can only pray for the Carr family.
