My apologies if I missed this thread but has there been any effort to organize an Mgotailgate for tomorrow? Did a scan and search and didn't see anything.
so much for that
Was no joke. I stopped by there for a minute or so, it was pretty lame.

Well, with such planning and effort, how could it not be better?
Seriously, running a website does NOT require one to be a host. But I'm guessing the site has a bit more traffic and loyalty than a year ago. I wanted to see CRex's better half...eat Jen's cookies...get into an argument with at least somebody... ;-)

We'll be there today. Bring a wet sponge, find Misopogal, and when she's looking, leave the wet sponge on any surface and walk away. You'll be in an argument in no time.

Where were you all?!?!?
Checked the whole U parking lot...go into the Alumni Game early, or did everyone park somewhere else this year?
Ah, it's ok...I forgot my sponge...

During the alumni game: Section 42, row 40-ish. Standing. Yelled "tacopants" when Navarre airmailed one as a not-so-subtle attempt to find other MGoBloggers, but got no response. We later moved down to the front row and were watching Vincent Smith throw a football around (he's Misopogal's favorite).
During the Spring Game: Section 2, row 20-something (right where the Block M ends), in front of an old guy who thought "Will Campbell's gonna turn you into SOUP!" was really clever and worth repeating several times to make sure everyone in earshot had an opportunity to appreciate the cleverness of it. Get it? Campbell! Soup! Campbell's Soup!!!
I also saw a couple across the aisle from us whom I was hoping was C-Rex and his lady, but I didn't think "white guy with Korean-looking girlfriend" was enough evidence to risk making a fool of myself. Funny how an awesome MGoBlog poster makes me more starstruck than, like, former players and stuff.
After the Game: Grizzly Peaks, trying out beers for the wedding (this was my excuse to Misopogal for why we had to come up to A2 yesterday in the first place). The Scottish Ale was awful. The "Saison" is pretty good but won't be around next fall. Probably going with the Stout and Pale Ale, but I believe this requires more investigation.

Don't take that the wrong way, I wasn't saying it should've been hosted at all. It was pretty cool IMO that Brian was willing to hang around there, also GSimmons, Dex, Tim and Paul. It's just that nobody else showed up, and I had my boy with me. Anyway...

I didn't mean that at all. I thought the tone of my post might be off. I didn't think you were criticizing it.
I was just kidding that we all had a diary post 100 long that had all these great plans, and the week of, we heard nothing. It was doomed to fail.
I was just saying that "I" don't want to come off as sounding like I expect Brian to like feed us all because he runs a blog.
But maybe we should plan something next year where we host and INVITE Brian, but mainly try and get the MGoCommunity to hang. Though I don't really do tailgates. I walk to, and like Brian, go to watch football, not party. But the Spring Game I could team up with someone to put something together.
Or we could have a summer Board get together at a town bar, maybe the weekend before the 1st game. Dominicks or something. (Back two owners ago I could have had Touchdown's treat us like kings). But we could find somewhere.

Last year the MGoTailgate was in the Crisler. If you are the bottom of the stairway from Crisler into the parking lot you will see a bus stop. They were right by that last year. So maybe that is where brian will be this year.

No one seems to know nothin'. Maybe there will be a morning post. But damn, I don't want to get up early to go to the game to search around for the tailgate. Rather sleep.
Brian said on the radio they'd probably try to do it again, even though only 10 people showed up last year (he jokes)...I'm guessing he will get more this year. If we can find it.
Hell, it had more pub a month ago, when people were tell the menu of food they were going to bring. Night before...nothing.
Hopefully details are coming...I'm too damn old to drink 12 beers by myself before the game!! And it's probably going to be too cold to bring the wife. I wanted to meet CRex and his better half, and all the rest of the people I piss off. ;-)
