Sure, I'm doing exactly what Phil Knight and the Nike overlords want me to do by drawing attention to their new uniformz, but I am still ANGAR! Now we know how they really swayed Jake Fisher.

You mean the Princeton that used Crisler's winged color scheme helmet for 3 measely years and stopped using it when he left at the end of the 1937 season.  Princeton didn't bring it back until 1998.

Yes, they love their winged helmet so much that they didn't use it for 60 seasons while Michigan used it every year.

but I think Oregon will find a way to make this look great. I thought their National Championship jerseys last year were sharp, and they didn't disappoint earlier this season against LSU either.

If Oregon wants to do something new, I think that makes sense for them. They don't have an iconic uniform or helmet, so why not switch things up to get attention away from schools like USC and Cal? UM is in a completely different place, and we should stick with our traditions. What's good for Oregon isn't necessarily good for UM. I don't mind them having an oven mit on their helmets--I don't think anyone sober and free from schizophrenia would confuse it with our wings.

I think it looks terrible. The Oregon "O" is a great logo. I wish they would just design something classy, while keeping the 1,000,000 different color combinations. Making something bold and in your face isn't unique anymore.

On what planet are these considered winged helmets? Putting animal wings (I question whether or not those are actually duck wings anyway) does not make it a winged helmet. The winged helmet is a specific design. Calling it a winged helmet because you want it to be doesn't make it one.

I'm not sure how that helmet is anything like ours, but whatever.  The jersey, however, does look like MSU's homage to Colorado St. (with the addition of plastic chunks) that they wore against us.  We can only hope that Dave Brandon stops looking to teams like Oregon and Boise St. to tell the future.

Do people buy Oregon jerseys? I mean, they are all different. Do people buy little Oregon helmets for their desks? Also all different. I get the idea of having a special jerseys once in a while, like once every couple years, but this is outrageous. Don't you want to know what your team's uniforms look like?

Looks more like  chrome catchers mit on the side. I never thought those uni's could get much worse, but then again I thought Oregon's green and yellow look couldn't get worse. Thanks Nike!

Of all the "sartorially challenged" uniforms Oregon has unleashed in recent years, these are actually pretty cool, IMO.  I'd rather see yellow/black than green/black, but that's just me.

Anyway, I hope the plain ol' red/white-clad Badgers roll over them in Pasadena.  The Big-10/11/12 needs big bowl victories.
