Orange Bowl open thread

You know, when the game was announced, I was kinda "meh". But now that I'm home and ready to watch it, I'm kinda getting excited. The contrasting styles intrigue me, another Big Ten team, to see how they'll do, and the celebration that is the LAST BCS bowl game on FOX. Yay!

And it can't be worth than last night's game, can it?

If nothing else maybe we'll get more Taco Bell commercials...
(Though Iowa and GT will have a hard time topping TCU's cheer team).

Ummm James "Kool" Bell that aint. That's just some dude. They should be called That Dude And The Gang. Where the fuck is James "Kool" Bell?!?! That's like when they say the Temptations are going to be performing at some venue and half the fucking act is 30 years old.

NCAAB Big Ten Update: Iowa had 15 first half points against Illinois. Illini lead currently, 39-19, 17:45 to go.

That's a pretty miserable first half output.

It seems like GT might have an advantage b/c they'll be making adjustments that, if they work, Iowa will then have to adjust to, but with no halftime to discuss it.

I'm going to take a wild guess that getting a penalty every 3rd play probably doubly bad for an option offense without a kicker.

I will not be sad to see Tony Moeaki graduate this year.

He went to the same high school as my cousin and was a 5* coming out of high school. Despite his productivity this year, I can't really say he lived up to his billing.

The Big Ten is going to win more BCS Bowl games in 2010 than they did in just about the entire prior decade.
