Orange Bowl Open Thread (probably unavoidably CC)

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
I mean, with all the broadcast talk, the Gator Bowl should have been labeled CC. After today, I don't think it's avoidable. But they're actually playing a football game too.

It wasn't just Elway...Condi Rice, Jim Plunket...they're pulling out all the stops.  Me thinks Jimbo will not get out of the West Coast alive.

Hey Jim, want to run for Congress?  Hey Jim, want to be President?  We're in trouble!  DB, what's the plan sir?  What is the plan?

Harbaugh = Lloyd Carr

Is crazy.

Harbaugh has a tenacity that shows up in his players that Michigan never had with Carr on offense. The 97 defense the huge exception.

And how nervous were we in that first half about Stanford looking bad? Wow did they kick ass this second half.

Whatever happens with Jim Harbaugh, I have to say I respect him as a coach. He's good. If he comes to Michigan I just hope for once that the fan base will be on the same page. It's been so rough seeing a fraction of the fan base rooting against their own team just to see a coach get canned.

Whatever happens, I'm happy for Stanford that they at least kept Harbaugh for the bowl.  He and his seniors get to go out with a great victory.

It's going to be like the Decision only with a football coach and without the hour-long ego special

This offseason is going to be a very interesting one for him...personally I think he ends up in the NFL. He is a red-hot commodity, and Michigan is in line with a ton of other NFL pro franchises, those that don't have NCAA rules and regulations

I'm still on the RR bandwagon, but I gotta admit if Harbaugh comes here he'll do a fantastic job of following in Lloyd's crotchety footsteps where the sideline interview is concerned.

Ah man I want him to be our coach SOOOO bad. Is there anyway we can out pay an NFL team? I mean Michigan has a lot of money but I don't think we have NFL money.

Hats off to our Alumn Jim Harbaugh!  Whether he comes home or not he's represented us well!  I wish him and his family the best with their plans for the future.

Wow, what a awesome night for Stanford! THIS is the college football I prefer, no dirtbags or thugs at Stanford. Probably not the highest talent level, but a work ethic and consistency that pays off not for just that team, but everyone watching. Very nicely done.

Man, the Orange Bowl chairman really can't read that card in front of him.  He also appears to be on a ton of cocaine.

What his name ESPN dude: One more question...

JH: To hell with your questions, this is Stanford's moment.

Now that is cool.

I love how Harbaugh just dissed Reese and Michelle earlier and when reese tried to ask him about his future and told him to respect the game and ask his kids questions and let them enjoy the moment.

Pretty disrespectful for Tafoya to then go to the kid, ask him 1 question, just diss him and run over to Andrew Luck !

Let them enjoy the moment, tomorrow you can hound the Harbaugh and Luck all you want about their futures.
