Yet in the era of "not enough coaches", VT's special teams are always awesome. But I'm guessing that's just statistical luck...
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
Guess that's why the Heisman said he's the best amatuer player in the country.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
Pretty pass for the TD
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
That is why the kid will be a millionaire in a short while
Great throw. That is a professional throw right there
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:43 PM ^
2 -14 baby.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:41 PM ^
NICE FAWKING SPECIAL TEAMS HARBAUGH AND POLIAN. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET AWAY WITH THAT SHIT IN THE PAC 10 BUT NOT HERE!!!!
(practicing for next year. did I do well? Is there something I can work on, plenty of time until 9/3 and I want to nail just the correct umbrage)
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^
...the obligatory
UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:41 PM ^
But isn't this Luck's 3rd year with JH? And with 300+ plays in the offense how successful of a transition can we expect next year (assuming there's a JH CC of course)
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:44 PM ^
Vt's special teams is making me jealous. Along with both of these teams defense.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:45 PM ^
Beamer Ball at its best is great football. I respect a system that puts such a huge emphasis on special teams play.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:45 PM ^
Terrible no call on that PI
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:49 PM ^
I can't believe no one saw that. That VT reciever got wrecked.

Should be labeled TT? (Tattoo Talk)

Got em!

Not so pretty of a throw

"It's a great day to die..."
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^
What's this?? Getting Stuffed on 4th down?? I didn't even think that was possible!! lulz
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^
Safety - check.
Botched punt - check.
Bad Kickoff catch at 2 yd line - check.
INT - check.
Defense that can make up for above mistakes and stop the other team - check, wait, what?

Did I miss something? Where is Ryan Williams? Are Jayron Hosley and Je'Ron Stokes J'lated?
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:57 PM ^
Standford called a time out and got that play?
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
Is very John Navarre.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
Their short game hasn't been so hot...
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:00 PM ^
Just say'in! Nothin that's not already out there. =)
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:01 PM ^
I bet he did not like RichRods answer about sparing an extra coach for special teams.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
Useless, I know...
It's probably just me, but these two look a lot alike:
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
Thought the exact same thing.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
that Stanford doesn't commit penalties... that only happens when your team is poorly coached, etc.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
So when the commentary team asked, "I'd like an explanation for that penalty," you thought, "I really need to post something acknowledging that penalty!"
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
i was referring to that and the 4-5 other ones preceding it. they've made sloppy plays liberally, something RR has been roasted over the spit for.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
Bonehead fake punt call fails
Bonehead returner fields punt inside his own 5 yard line to set up safety
False start penalty from punting unit
Fumbled kickoff return
Luckily Coach Harbaugh made up for it by reminding the sideline reporter that both teams are indeed playing a football game.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
Will be yours to root for, come September!

Uhm, yay?
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
His name is Rich Rodriguez.
Oh, and I forgot about the missed PAT. Why hasn't Harbaugh recruited a kicker in FOUR YEARS!!!!
January 3rd, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
I'm sure Rodriguez is purely roasted over the spit for the fact that his team commits penalties.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
Well its 13-12 at the half
Thats a famous Rose Bowl score for Stanford and, sadly, Michigan. That was the final of the 1972 Rose Bowl. Cardinal came back from 12 down, won and it cost UM the MNC
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
Stanford's mistakes are really keeping VT in this game. I've seen Stanford play much, much more focused this year.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
I imagine threads like these aren't great for Stanford's concentration
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:25 PM ^
Honestly, I don't remember Tyrod Taylor playing this kind of football either. I remember him having a hell of a game against NC State, but he looked terrible against Boise. I think had he played anywhere near the game he is playing now against Boise State, they'd have won.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
Beamer?
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
That was the best half of football I've watched this bowl season. They're going at it pretty good!
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
Schad on ESPN radio for Orange Bowl says a prominent UM booster is telling him that Harbaugh is going to the NFL, the money is too lucrative
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
How much money does Harbaugh need? Is he trying to coach the 49ers or buy them?
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
How much money flows through the UM football program? I can't imagine why we couldn't offer a lot. Though I can imagine we wouldn't.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
If you're offered your dream job, for what? $3million+ a year? and you go somewhere else for $4-5million, then it wasn't really your dream job after all.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:23 PM ^
That's kinda where I'm at. If Brandon fires RR and can't lure JH here (or another marquis type HC) he's gonna have some serious splain' to do about the past month.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:38 PM ^
Coaching salary plus domino's endorsement is plenty of "dough"

Get it?
January 3rd, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
Well, at least Harbaugh will bring me at least one happy moment in helping me win my bet on Stanford to cover; surely he won't crush that last hope also?
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
