The SEC slurp fest is on!
August 28th, 2014 at 6:22 PM ^
Impressive start for the Aggies
August 28th, 2014 at 6:24 PM ^
I always root for the underdog, when it comes to SEC playing SEC. I want them to all knock each other out of the playoff!
August 28th, 2014 at 7:24 PM ^
But then it will be "but look at that strength of schedule! Toughest conference evar!"
August 28th, 2014 at 6:25 PM ^
If A&M ever finds a defense look out.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:25 PM ^
They do realize manziel isn't playing tonight right? Jesus let it go he isn't playing
August 28th, 2014 at 7:53 PM ^
I understand the feeling of 'stop talking about him', but I also remember how nice it was to hear announcers talk about Denard for every game for two seasons after he graduated.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:27 PM ^
At a restaurant and espn has some otl looking deal on.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:28 PM ^
SEC network.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:27 PM ^
Kenny Hill is very impressive so far.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:30 PM ^
Oh well, didn't see it was changed to an open thread.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:33 PM ^
It wasn't. The original title had "open thread" in it hours ago.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:54 PM ^
We'll keep it under 25 promise.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:29 PM ^
Only 30 minutes till I can change this slurp fest off, and turn it to BTN.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:29 PM ^
That's a seriously intense sun angle they are playing in. What a weird time for a game.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:30 PM ^
Probably in the minority here but I love these big time conference openers. Or maybe because it's actually a very good matchup and not another Va. tech v's Louisiana Methodist Tech State snoozer.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:33 PM ^
I wish the Big Ten would play conference games early! Leave the cupcakes for November, like the SEC does. Then you heal up and recover from early season defeats.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:34 PM ^
Sparty week 1 please
August 28th, 2014 at 6:50 PM ^
That's part of the reason I love the ND rivalry so much. It's a great early season gauge of where the team is at. The games are almost always close and it's better than playing a terrible team four weeks in a row.
August 28th, 2014 at 7:58 PM ^
It actually isn't though. Obviously we've spanked them lately and then fallen apart down the stretch, but even historically this game hasn't been an indicator of the season's success.
August 28th, 2014 at 8:32 PM ^
The series is nice but I think over the last seven or eight years we've definitely proved that the game doesn't mean much in the grand scheme if the season. We've beaten them plenty these last 10 years or so but the program hasn't exactly been a powerhouse.
Yes though playing ND is better than playing Baby Seal U even if it is not the greatest indicator of how our season will progress.
Edit: nicely said Wichita.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:32 PM ^
Jessie Palmer must get $1 every time he say Johnny Football.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:32 PM ^
I was so bitter about not being able to watch this game until I did a program search, found SEC Network and realized that I have the channel.
Still don't have Pac-12 Network or the Fox College Sports networks, though. I wish I could choose what I want on my cable package.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:33 PM ^
SEC network not in HD on Time Warner apparently...what's the point of having a network?
August 28th, 2014 at 6:39 PM ^
...should be near BTN.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:46 PM ^
B1G is 1333 for me, I've got all the soccer channels and YES network, can't find the SEC...frustrating...
August 28th, 2014 at 6:49 PM ^
I hate Time Warner. Can't wait to get AT&T when it's offered in my area.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:39 PM ^
What a pass
August 28th, 2014 at 6:40 PM ^
Great pass, while getting hit!
August 28th, 2014 at 6:46 PM ^
I love Sumlin's offense because it is so fun to watch.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:48 PM ^
Now that is a hole to run through, god i miss that.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:58 PM ^
This town aint.. but probably is big enough for the two of us, Tex.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:49 PM ^
just referred to guys trying to make NFL rosters this weekend as "scrubs". What a dick
August 28th, 2014 at 7:06 PM ^
He don't want no scrubs.
August 28th, 2014 at 6:49 PM ^
WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
August 28th, 2014 at 6:59 PM ^
Well, not really a storm anymore - actually, it was a really nice day.
When I get home, I plan to switch to something else, but for the time being, we're half-listening to the Minnesota / E. Illinois game as we wait for people to call in their findings in the field. It's not a bad slate for an opening Thursday really, and as I am off tomorrow, I have plenty of entertainment late into the night.
August 28th, 2014 at 7:02 PM ^
"It's easy to find a taller, 6' 5'' receiver down the field. He's basically a more athletic, faster tight end."
Sounds familiar
August 28th, 2014 at 7:04 PM ^
Let's hope our OL gels like A&M's
August 28th, 2014 at 7:05 PM ^
I can't stand that windbag. What's the name of the idiot along side him?
August 28th, 2014 at 7:05 PM ^
I think Jesse Palmer.
August 28th, 2014 at 7:06 PM ^
Jesse Palmer. Another ear dagger. Where's the next Keith Jackson when you need him?
August 28th, 2014 at 7:17 PM ^
Muss and Fuss still going strong
August 28th, 2014 at 7:08 PM ^
Doesn't the SEC network have a Beth Mowans?
August 28th, 2014 at 8:10 PM ^
Tim Tebow?
August 28th, 2014 at 7:08 PM ^
Ouch. Blown coverage
August 28th, 2014 at 7:12 PM ^
The amount of sandstorm being played is just baffling. Pretty entertaining game otherwise though.
