Let the games begin!
Per reddit collegebasketball, this is a list of the games today
It feels like a football Saturday.
Man, I love this. Took two days off to enjoy the National Holiday(s) known as Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament....March Madness begins.
GO BLUE! (Go Valpo, coming up first!)
Tough choice: Do I root against Sparty because, well, seeing Sparty burn more couches would be fun (especially after investing all that money in that second-hand furniture store in E.Lansing)? Then again, do I root for them to win so that the B1G proves itself as the best conference this year? Awww, f--k it. Go Crusaders!
What if they lose and burn the arena down? What then?
I root for MSU now. I'd rather see them lose to Duke or Louisville.
I'm rooting for Sparty. I want B1G teams to plow through the tournament.
I'm rooting for the best of both worlds: Sparty loses this Saturday, but it ends up being an all-Big-Ten Final Four.
Win or lose they'll probably burn something. So you're set.
Msu, bucknell, pitt, saint louis, and st. marys in the early games
going to be wasted all day and watch Trey dominate.
Some cat this morning on ESPN was talking about how Burke could put on a Kemba Walker-esque performance in the tourney and just put the team on his back.
Jimmy Dykes. And I am hoping to find that bandwagon and ride it all the way to the Final Four
God I'm all tingly like I get before football games.
much more entertaining than the TV pregame shows
- live from Simmons house
Because he always is. Two amazing notes from that session:
1) His admission that we win the '93 title if that game is not in New Orleans.
2) The dice game in Detroit where he wins 5 grand and then buys a Honda Accord.
The dice game made me a bit uncomfortable.
What, because of the transparent ability for it to be used to transfer money to players illegally?
Statute of limitations is up, so whatever. Jalen entertains me a ton.
Any statistics on work productivity in the us today compared to a normal Thursday? Must be a noticeable difference.
Random question: Did anyone else cry during the "One Shining Moment" segment after the Webber Timeout fiasco? Yeah, uh, me neither.
"I will never forget where I was" moments.
At work until 3:30pm. Will be cracking a Jolly Pumpkin Madrugada Obscura during the game tonight.
Very nice! I enjoyed an Aventineus last night for a bad Red Wings/LaSalle game last night. Not sure the plan for tonight. I do have a Weizen Bam in the cellar...
Verne doing the MSU game. Which SEC team is playing
Because the SEC is now a Mid-Major, they decided to let Verne out of his cage for more than his usual standard fare.
Being a grown up and having to work instead of drink beers and watch games is REALLY COOL, GUYS. You should totally graduate on time and think of your future.
That's why they invented GRAD SCHOOL. One more year to do exactly what you said (drink beers and watch games).
Congratulations on not having any money. I'm sure mom and dad don't mind piggybacking you.
You seem a little eager to get your middle-aged-complacency groove on.
His Dudeness is saying he does have a job and supports himself, and hence isn't able to enjoy the games and drink beer all day. Like most of us, I assume he's staring down decades of uninspiring work for this or that company.
I do have a job that i am at right now.
LOL at me piggybacking from them. I will be paying back the WORST generations debts for a long long time. I love my parents, but their generation has basically lived high on the hog and driven the country into a horrible debt hole.
Cool story though about the piggybacking thing.
@the Glove: no man, that's wha FAFSA is for. Don't just assume grad students are living on their parents dime. As Coach Hoke said, you know what assuming does to you...
@Sambojangles: you're doing it all wrong, man. Grad School is but one year, Law School is three. That's called winning.
Valpo can not afford to give state 3 shots on each possesion.
..but then if State continues to miss the first two out of every three like they seem to be now, I have a good feeling about Valpo staying in this one for a while anyway. After all, Tennessee outrebounded Mercer by a 2:1 margin and still lost.
Rebounding iz hard
Tom upsett? Oh my... Something new
LOL Derrick Nix
Valpo can't compete on the boards and state can't make a shot. I have state advancing but I won't lie a Valpo win wouldn't ruin my day.
I have in one bracket msu in the final four and in the other losing to valpo. So I can't lose really.
I like Valpo's energy
Man I really wish I bought a Valpo shirt to show my hatred of State. Oh wait, no I don't...I'm not a loser.
Is anyone else having trouble with CbsSports.com? It won't show more than 5 seconds of the game without jumping back into commercials.
I can't get the games to load at all. Figured it was because I'm at work, though.
No that's actually how CBS broadcasts basketball games, especially in March
If Valpo can tighten up a bit on the boards, this could be an ok game.
Anyone got a non-CBS Stream I can try of MSU game? It's not working on my work CPU for some reason...
Bucknell over Butler seemed to be a popular upset pick how did all of you pick that game. I took Butler.
I have that whole section as upsets. Bucknell & Davidson (so Bucknell to 16). This is my only area of the brackets that I took huge upsets
I'll be at work wishing I was at home so I could drink that rack of <obscure micro brew that some of you have tried> and watch Staee win another ugly game. Ugh. Enjoy!
...there is nothing quite like a wonderful tasting obscure microbrew, you gotta try it!
