is considered the "Western Shore."  The "Eastern Shore", of course, being the part of Maryland east of the Chesapeake.

A lot of Eastern Shore folk don't think the rest of Maryland cares about them --- some Eastern Shore folk actually want to be annexed by Delaware.  Anyway, I mention that, because Ohio State stole their "We don't give a damn" song from Eastern Shore folk.

The lyrics to the Eastern Shore version of the song:

We don't give a damn about the whole state of Maryland, the whole state of Maryland, the whole state of Maryland, don't give a damn about the whole state of Maryland, we're from the Eastern Shore!

We're from the Eastern Shore, to hell with Baltimore, don't given a damn about the whole state of Maryland --- we're from the Eastern Shore!

That's his 6th 2 point attempt on the year, so it's not like he does it often.

Also saying Michigan guards don't go to the rim is a tired statement. Yes they don't drive as much as other teams, but that's part of Beilein's offense. The issue is not finishing at the rim, ie Walton being a 30 some percent 2 point shooter.

a freshman who has played limited minutes is tired. The kid got to the basket faster than I've seen Walton. A guard with quicks would be very welcome in a Beilein offense that spreads the floor.

Beilein has proven his system works, at Michigan, and can contend for titles. Maybe not every year, but he can do it. Until Simpson proves he can contribute at a high level, you can't compare criticisms of the two.

The reason Simpson is playing limited minutes is because he hasn't been good. A couple weeks ago there were some articles about how the coaches and players have said the load on Irvin on Walton is increased this year because for the first time in years we have no guard depth.

I'm not saying he can't or won't succeed. He can fit into Beilein's system and do well eventually, no doubt. Especially because of that quickness. But quickness doesn't mean shit if you can't finish or do anything offensively. Which Simpson objectively can't at this point. Hence his lack of playing time and production.

Can I ask a stupid question?  If you get fouled when shooting and miss, does that count as an attempt and missed shot?  If you get fouled when shooting and make it, I assume that counts as an attempt and made shot.
