I am playing the part of nursemaid for my son, and therefor bored stiff at home all day. Reading all of the Michigan blogs has overloaded my brain, so I thought I would outlet some crazy predictions here so I can look stupid Sunday.
1. Michigan gets 5+ sacks on Crist, possibly knocking him out of the game.
After reviewing the video of all of ND's offensive plays, I believe Crist is a statue in the backfield, and will remind us of Threet trying to run a spread attack. Purdue got to him several times, Martin & Roh will get to him even more.
Charles James Rogers gets one interception and generally looks competent.
I see this happening as a by-product of JT Floyd playing well and ND Floyd getting a lot of extra attention in the secondary. At some point ND will go to the other side of the field and Rogers will show why we can all feel OK with this secondary.
3. Michigan forces 3 ND fumbles, recovering at least two of them.
Again, from the ND offense video it seemed to this observer that ND was a little sloppy handling the ball. With all of the pressure our D-line and blitzing LBs will produce, coupled with our big hitters in Cam Gordon and Mouton, stirred up in a wet weather afternoon, I think the pigskin will be hitting the turf on Saturday.
How about the rest of you, any outrageous claims you'd like to utter?
