Will Texas pull another big upset in the biggest game (please please please)? Will the great Satan win his 2nd at his 2nd SEC school? How glad are we that we're done with Fox? And will Denise from Taco Bell join us on ABC? All these questions and more will be answered during tonight's game. Here's to us not watching the game and commenting on it here in the near future because we're all AT the game, watching a much more likable team. :-)
Open BCS Championship Bowl Game Thread
Their last championship was no upset, that was a dang good team. They had Vince Young, a stable of running backs, a viable receiving corps, and a great defense.
They were a great team, but they were playing the "team of the history of college football" or atleast that's exactly what ESPN was making USC out to be. And that was an extremely talented USC team to boot.
So while an amazing team, and the winning team, it was still an upset. Going into that game nobody was giving them a shot in hell.
Eh, ESPN =/= Reality (See: "The Big Ten is the worst conference in history", or Drew Sharp talking). That was an extremely talented USC team, so an argument could be made either way (pregame coverage). I personally picked Texas, a lot of people did. Obviously, ESPN just didn't cover that part.
The betting lines agree more with ESPN's reality unfortuantly. The spread for that game was right around USC -8 at gametime... That means Texas was a pretty big underdog for that game.
Fortuantly they won the game. And at the end of the day that's all that really matters. Hook'em Horns!
Texas was a substantial underdog.
That Texas team was talented, but man was that USC team stacked.
IME USC was the better team but VY just had a performance for the ages to get Texas the victory.
I completely agree. That game VY simply carried texas to a win, it wasn't the OL opening up holes, or recievers making great catches. It was VY simplying dominating. Much like what he did to us the year before.
So you've retired now, right? On the game winnings. Since you were so sure and willing to tell everyone about it, you bet the farm and live a life of luxury today, right? ;-)
Edit: One click three posts?
Edit: One click three posts?
I was tempted to throw "(Not trying to brag, I also thought OSU would stomp Florida)" but rethought it. I guess I should go with my gut next time.
And qho didn't think OSU was going to beat Florida? The only team that would have a chance to beat the Buckeyes that year was us. Uh, well...
Why do I keep seeing Pete Carol's face on the t.v?
Hey its a small price to pay, to do all that crap means many hours he isn't recruiting =)
but with Herby kissing his ass all night ("you need a coach like Pete C who has been here before") he is basically recruiting. Cheatin' Pete sure does know his football though.
but with Herby kissing his ass all night ("you need a coach like Pete C who has been here before") he is basically recruiting. Cheatin' Pete sure does know his football though.
It's the dead period man, this IS his recruiting.
Kill me, but I like Carrol. He seems like a genuinely pretty good guy, and he sure as hell knows his shit when it comes to football. I don't even begrudge his SC teams slaughtered us out there.
USC = bad. Pete Carroll lives near the ocean. Where he goes, to punch dolphins.
And, HOOK 'EM, HORNS!
I got Texas +4.5
And, the Over on Denise sightings.
Either way should be fun. Looking forward to watching it, after Michigan puts away the Nittany Kitties in hoops, natch.
But I thought it was a very cagey spread by Vegas. A little higher and everyone takes the underdog in. Champ game, a little lower and it's all on Bama's side. They did their job this time.
And let's hope you're right on your next two predictions. Right now the former is looking better than the latter. Yeesh. :-(
I think Alabama will win. I think Texas will hang around and lose maybe 34-20, although the game might seem closer. I don't think Texas has faced a D like Bama's. They play crappy Big12 defenses like Texas A&M. Texas' D is good, but not as good as Bama's.
Did you forget about Texas playing Nebraska and Oklahoma? Both of them are top 10 defenses, and Nebraska was clearly better at pass rush (2nd in the nation in sacks) than Alabama (32nd).
That was CMU/Troy, obviously. This is just the next-biggest game.
the line of scrimmage? If they do, I'm afraid Alabama will dominate this game.
I think Texas' defense is going to bitch slap Alabama's O. Just a hunch, but anger d/t disrespect could carry them a long way. The one thing I am certain of is that the team that scores the most points will win. Finishing second isn't a moral victory, just gives you the distinction of being the best known and most memorable LOSER.
I have hated Texas and Mack Brown with a passion since Jan 1. 2005.
Come on folks, Texas is #2 in all-time wins...
This is a slam dunk as who to root for...
I'm just excited that the loser of this game will have a conference record in bowls this year of .500 I believe. In addition, even with an Alabama win, the Big Ten will still have a better winning percentage in bowls this year than the SEC. No matter what happens tonight, the Big Ten finished 4-3 and the MAC is on a one game bowl winning streak (after a 13 bowl losing streak). Midwest football is back! Somehow I dont think anyone really gives a hoot, arguably not even in the Midwest. :)
Above is based on my memory of bowl outcomes this year and was not researched for accuracy...that would take too much time and effort
I'm the only one of my friends pulling for 'Bama. My friends cite "I hate Saban" as their primary reason to root for Texas.
That's a really good reason your friends have though...
Yeah I don't disagree with them. I really dislike Texas and I think 'Bama can beat 'em. Also, it's time to break the Heisman curse.
Of course you do.
They CAN win though.
are worth keeping. Hating Saban is consistent with good values.
I think 'Bama's lines are overrated, but they're still extremely good. I think 'Bama takes this in the end because in the 4th they'll be able to use Ingram to kill the clock. Even so, likely a one score game. Watch them prove me wrong now.
The basketball game is too painful...
...for the approximately 38 Penn State fans who actually attended.
Including the cheerleaders.
And the coaches.
Who's hotter, his girlfriend or the waitress?
Still waiting, Denise...
This just in: BG updated his status with "Let's go Bama!"
If BG is on the side of the Tide, it must be so.
I can't root for Saban...I can pick him, but I can't root for him.
Ingram is from Flint and BG is from Detroit so no. Yeah, Saban sucks, he's a liar.
Not sure the connection then.
And lying is one of Saban's better characteristics. And it's not good.
Damnit! I wanted to root against Bama! Ah well, whatever BG says goes.
Why is May wearing sunglasses??
. . .because the sun never sets on a badass.
I got nothin'. =)
haha i think he wears those glasses that turn to sunglasses when the sun is out so now he just has to put up with looking like that
I want to make picks like Caroll does. "If McCoy can run the ball, I feel Texas has a good chance."
For example my Pete Caroll-esque pick for tOSU-UMich: "If Tressel loses his mind and starts recruiting only circus midgets, I feel Michigan has an excellent chance for dominance in this decade."
Like the basketball team is doing right now...
But they have it at 6 right now at least...
I was wondering the same thing about May. They must
have one helluva light system there.
Hook 'Em, Horns
This is going to be a good game, I hope Colt has
his 'A' game on tonight.
Geez Flea. At least find a collar shirt to wear for the national anthem.
*realizes he sounds like a silver hair*
*reaches for the booze*
of the national anthem sucks
OMG SWITCH TO M HOOPS QUICK! M 51, PSU 50 3:50 left!!!
a disaster, cutting in RIGHT as the National Anthem starts? That could have caused a lot of complaints...
Flea on Bass, and the Calypso/Salsa National Anthem.
It's only on-topic for this thread because it occurred right after Denise came on the air.
We don't need a Wolverine, she's our mascot.
(Wonder if she's available for the MSU coin toss next year...).
Kick the %^&*ing ball off already.
That sack was worthy of John Navarre right there.
Or the ABC mics are right by the Longhorns section.
3rd and 23, and Texas held.
What was Saban thinking?
does the Puppy-Bowl start?
Basketball wins. Time for football.
How did Colt get hurt on that play? He barely got touched. Unless that one ankle twisted I guess...
It seems that it is his shoulder.
She does love us...
I missed her :( I'm guessing while I flipped over to watch the end of the BB game.
Did she ask about me?
Why is Herbie yelling at me?
Denise, hello. She's on. They're also running a 15 second version of the commercial.
Special teams coach too smart for his own good. Yeah, an automatic check to a pass with an uncovered receiver is great... except when a DB runs off the line of scrimmage to go cover him.
What was up with the spot of the ball after the penalties? Did they penalize texas back 5 yards and then move then forward half the distance for the personal foul? So the PI only got three yards? Seems like a very poor trade off especially now that Texas ended up with the FG.
Fake punt - what the fuck?
and when the backup qb game in - how was 'Bama unprepared for a run on the next play - there was no way Texas was gonna throw it there.
That's on the special team coach, it's an automatic check to throw to the "uncovered" (Except his DB was on the line) receiver. They don't run that if Texas was in regular coverage.
Alabama just doesn't want to be on offense tonight.
Wow special teams fail so far for Alabama.
With Colt maybe hurt badly don't you go for it on fourth and take the easy TD opportunities when you have a chanceat them?
Of course, if Bama NEVER gets the ball, it doesn't matter.
Another series that started at the one-yard line.
Average starting field position of the offensive 35. Texas will take that all night.
has gotten into these coaches?
Fake punts, onside kicks...
You gotta help out your frosh QB! Damn...
You have a new QB in the national championship game! Cut him a break.
I fear they're going to miss not getting TD's.
Oh well, time for the onside kick.
for bama - get the run game going here.
not liking the bama offensive game plan at all?
Are they so afriad of the hiesman jinx that they arent going to run at all.
update they run and it works - do what got you here.
Ingram is awesome.
2 big blunders and only 6 points = lopsided win by Alabama IMO
Go texas, slap the sec in the face
texas - grabbed the RB trying to get out of the backfield.
I thought it was one brief sneeze.
I'm not going to be able to watch this game if Alabama decides, much like Florida did in the SEC championship, to keep the ball out of their two best players hands, their runningbacks (In this case, Richardson and Ingrahm). Very unimpressed with Saban, they've done more self-out-coaching than playing so far.
I don't like Texas' chances to move the ball out of their territory without McCoy.
...or one yard.
There's 4:29 left in the 1st quarter and I have not heard "Tim Tebow" mentioned yet. C'mon Brent & Kirk if you ever want to be on CBS you have to get on the train.
They've mentioned Pete Carroll.. that's on the right track.
Bama needs to key in on the run.
Make Garrett Gilbert (who IIRC was OMG shirtless)beat you.
Hate the punt out of bounds. Always fails miserably at some point.
Ingram is strong strong.
Garret Gilbert is clearly no Tate Forcier.
I fear this game is just about over.
Yeah. I hear you. It's still way early but no McCoy = no win for Texas.
No McCoy = Texas stuck at #2 in all-time wins for another century. GO BLUE!
Any good backs of Ingram's size in the Big 12?
B12 is a passing league these days. IME.
DeMarco Murray's like 6'1" 215 lbs I think. (A couple inches taller than Ingram I think.) After OU bulked him up he lost a lot of his speed but he's still pretty good.
So and extra large with 6 toppings, and a ring of JACKPOT cheese around the crust is only $10?
Pizza hut offers an extra large. And I'm guessing Jackpot cheese is extra (ad states stuffed crust is extra).
That is a good deal though, but I'm guessing the Hut is losing business since their pizza is way over priced, I think a medium one topper deep dish is around 12 bucks these days.
Tough to compete with 5 dollar hot and ready.
Since moving to Chicago, we don't even consider the Hut anymore. Way too many tastier options, in addition to the cheaper-than-food Hot-n-Ready.
How'd they miss it?
remember when he said, "alabama's oline hasn't had a holding penalty in 34 qtrs..." ? i don't think that's a coincidence. not many flags against bama tonight, trust me.
cuz there's no way they just don't see that false start. they even edited to a short replay so they couldn't look like idiots in the box too.
sport conspiracy theories are only good if they involve the NBA or are against UM.
Over/under on shots of Mark Ingram's mom?
be talking to Tommy Tuberville about the chop block.
You can't always get what you want and I really wanted a good football game tonight. Oh well.
Looks like the GMAC Bowl might end up as the last good game of the season. 'Bama should have this thing wrapped up by half.
So is Chiles the 3rd string QB?
they changed him to a wide-out.
That guy was supposed to be the second coming...
He is a WR, but he's got more experience with the offense than Sherrod Harris, at least in game experience. Whatever it is, I don't see Texas passing that much the next few quarters.
Sherrod HArris transferred out?
But I'm surprised they haven't tried out Chiles - maybe got to an option look.
How many QBs does Texas have on the roster? They may go through all of them.
This reminds of UM v Penn State from a few years back, when the Lions went to 3 quarterbacks.
Was it Woodley or Branch that tore that shit up?
Ha... they are called the Lions...
Branch knocked out Morelli and left him on the field like a piece of roadkill. I don't recall who knocked out Bubba.
Alan Branch was a beast that game. There was a great picture of Anthony Morelli lying flat on his back after getting manhandled by him.
As I recall... both teams are walking away from Morelli, leaving him all alone, eating sod.
Update (thanks to marc_from_novi):
...all alone, looking to the heavens, praying for forgiveness.
"The Tide is HIgh" -Deborah Harry
(Mt. Cody Flinched on Ingrams TD, shoulda been a procedure penalty)
REPOST FLINT SW RB HEISMAN WINNER INGRAM is BAMA's best RB since Forrest Gump
Each time I hear "McElRoy" I think Chaz Michel Michaels and "Blades of Glory."
Texas is pretty well F#$ked without Colt. This
might be too much of a first start for Gilbert.
Was that a Longhorn furry on the sideline?? WTF?!?
...Mooby the Golden Calf!!!
Bama just needs to pound it and pound it. I don't think Texas can stop Ingram even with stacking against the run.
I'm surprised they letting Mcelroy drop back.
Pound the rock till they stop it.
Colt's dad will pull a Ted Ginn sr.?
Five Stars out of Austin; huge guns on that kid. Tate's better.
Aside: I checked him on Rivals...check the link here; based on his smile I think his father is either Jim Carrey or the Joker
I'm pretty sure he was the top QB in last year's class in every service. He was also a top 3 overall, IIRC. The kid has the potential, and he's looked good in mop up duty this season.
But yeah, he's also a true freshman in his first major start (which is what this more or less is) at the BCS National Championship in the Rose Bowl against the one of the best defenses he'll probably face in his career.
Yeah, how many points would Mack have spotted 'Bama to not lose McCoy on the 1st series? 14, 21? Maybe even 28?
Gilbert's wind up looks really slow.
"Put it on the board for "Bama!"
channeling Hawk Harrelson.
Touchdown called before crossing goal line, finish your beer.
Have the rules of the game been updated now that our friend Jack is no longer roaming the sidelines?
Damn Richardson is fast.
The way Texas is playing is bringing back horror flashbacks of 2008. I feel nothing but pity for them.
Wow, Texas is screwed now. This feels like watching a Michigan game from 2008. The defense is doing what it can to keep the team in the game. The offense can't move the ball at all. Such fond memories. (/Sarcasm) Eventually the Defense will wear down. I hope this thing doesn't get ugly.
That'll be a long FG for Texas.
You got to catch that one...
Dude, make that freshman QB a hero!
any word on mccoy?
Burnt Orange Nation has to be a fountain of pain right now. It might approach some of the pain here over the last couple of years.
Something tells me the "Let's never speak of that again" with the screaming lady had been posted at least twice.
This is not going to be pretty. Alabama is about to unleash hell this game is over.
Wow. Saban didn't think Ingram could get the five yards there? I know Richardson is fast, but sheesh.
I think Alabama may have Colt McCoy injured'd their way into a title. The rest of this game is probably going to be straight boring, unless you're into watching Alabama run for two hundred yards and 9 points.
THIS is the chick that is giving you guys boners? Wow. I can understand Megan Fox, Beyonce, and other young chicks. But Denise is someone you can pretty much find anywhere.
You guys are not doing Message Board or Intranets Perverts any justice at all.
Megan Fox is just a porn star who doesn't take off her clothes...
Gilbert can't get much more opposite of Vince Young for Texas. I just dread all the unjustified "Saban is a genius" talk we'll have to hear.
And do not know how much planning goes into diagramming a seemingly innocuous hit to the quarterback to dislocate his shoulder.
He's about to win his 2nd title at his 2nd school in 6 years. He's an evil genius, but he's a genius.
Just wondering: who is going to stay up and watch this whole game back in EST?
Mack Brown should show highlights of the UM-PSU basketball game at halftime.
But Michigan didn't have Manny Harris lose his arm during the first half.
I'd throw way down field, too.
LOL @ Mack Brown!!!
be for excessive celebration - Gilbert is crying, if I'm make brown I throw in Chiles or Harris.
Nighty, night Horns.
this sucks, why is Karma ignoring $aban's sins?
But when you are a BadAss, karma lets you cut in front of it in the express lane when you have 96 items and it has only a pack of chewing gum to purchase.
It wasn't enough for McCoy to get injured. Now all the Texas kids are playing like shit. Saban - The shadiest, most unethical cock in the World, get's an easy road to a second national title. Is there no justice in life?
What did I do to lose my title?
I hate Saban's shirt
That poor kid Gilbert. I don't know if Texas fans are a forgiving lot, but Gilbert's name is always going to be associated with this.
Well, this has to be one of the worst national championship games in recent memory.
OSU vs. UF and LSU blew as well.
Those were great games to watch.
Other than the Texas-USC one? These usually blow...
but feel terrible for this kid. I really wanted Texas to win this game but he looks really down on himself here. He needs a little of Mallett's confidence problem in the second half.
Is can Herby and brent keep us awake for the next two hours. AND, does Nick Saban feel sorry enough for Texas to limit the victory to under 700 points.
Well, I guess that's two questions, but nevertheless.
Rumblin' stumblin' bumblin'
NO way I'd watch the rest of this if I didn't live on the west coast.
I guess a million dollars really doesn't buy you that much these days.
Sounds like two different bands playing at the same time. Awful.
Pete Carroll + announcing + Corso + Desmond = ENTHUSIASM!!
What the hell? Did anyone just see that?
He's shitfaced. Out of control. Bombed.
I'm sorry; I count myself among the small group that likes and appreciates the old Indiana coach. But this is not gonna be good for Lee.
That stroke has really affected his speech.
I thought he was really funny when he put the Duck head on.
It shows how little ABC/ESPN I watched this year. I was outside in Ann Arbor for all of our home games, and away from t.v. for three of the road games.
Sincere apologies to Lee. (For the next time he's reading MGoBlog.)
Sadly, I think it has gotten worse as the season has gone on. I haven't personally seen any cases that regress, only improvement, but I have notice that this bowl season he seems worse than he did at the beginning of the season, where I thought he had made an amazing recovery. (See the slow progression Dick Clark has made with a more severe stroke. And DC HAS looked better each year).
Yes, he did (something like that with what the hell in it).
Your team is beating essentially half a team, so please try to tone down the suffocating arrogance you'd normally unleash after a major bowl victory. Just compile all the excuses you'd be making if Bama lost Ingram and apply them to Texas.
Double post. That's embarrassing.
immortalizes it with a Reply
He was really sounding bad there right after the half. It sounded like he was having a stroke. Slurring it seemed like...but, now he seems ok.
I don't know if he was hitting the bottle too hard in the first half or, God forbid, he was having a serious problem like a stroke. Something was NOT right.
mccoy is scottish for possum. he comes back in and lights up the night. hook em horns.
STFU. The shovel pass was not a bad call. It's actually a really safe play call. the execution of it sucked. But would corso be going ballistic if they called a run and the kid fumbled?
But it boils down to this: Colt McCoy out.
Who does Colin Ferguson have on tonight?
Hey Pete: you are a phony fuck. How many cheerleaders have you boinked?
CUT! GO TO COMMERCIAL!
Hi, Denise? About your burrito...
do you mean craig?
Either that or Colin Big Head with Red Hair and Ferguson had a kid together.
Since there is so much Saban hate flying. How about everyone lists their favorite reason they hate him?
hate's a strong word. although substitue a 't' for a 'b'...
It might be easier to ask for reasons not to hate Saban.
His scintillating public speaking?
The cheating, mostly.
The worst thing you can ever do is lie. Saban is a LIAR!
Hopefully you're not watching the game with your Bama friends...
I like Saban.
The man had the common sense to GTFO of East Lansing when he could.
examples of cheating that has everyone up in arms besides the mass signings?
Went over to Burntorangenation.com to peek at the threads. I'm very glad we moderate the game threads for Michigan games. I worked for the Ohio State game and seeing that makes me glad Brian has moderators.
...their open thread meltdown is nothing compared to the psychotic gibbering that took place on Mgoblog's good ol' Haloscan threads.
Reading those you'd think the fanbase had encountered a shoggoth or something.
Steve Smith is nailed by Don Rodgers and put out of the 1983 Rose Bowl.
In steps freshman Dave hall and UM plays a prety damn good game and only loses to UCLA 24-14.
Bo Schembechler didn't win a whole lot of Rose Bowls, but The Man could rally the troops under duress.
MSU fans must hate seeing their ex-coach in position to win another MNC.
Other silver lining is that we don't have to figure out how Mack Brown has won two National Titles...
Gabbert isn't even playing that bad. Maybe if somebody could make a catch when the pass is dead on, they'd be in better shape. One Unit hasn't played this bad in a national championship since Ohio State's offensive line.
Security will be called to remove an idiot.
I love it. Some LB should light him up.
I was looking at my computer when musberger said that. Streaker?
And some dumbass rushes the field. I wish they would show us his takedown.
You can actually see it from the aerial view. He just slipped.
of course ABC sports has a policy of not showing this kind of thing.
Was it a streaker or just some idiot?
The person looked all white from above, but honestly, I have no idea.
Gilbert makes Forcier look like Superman
It's amazing how you take a quarterback off a loaded, deep team, and they look like shit. Myopically speaking, seeing another example of how important the college QB is in football has me much more excited about us moving forward.
I can't decide if you avatar is awesome or disturbing.
I'm leaning towards disturbing.
Any idea what the crowd make-up is like?
50% Bama Fans
50% Suicidal Individuals
This one has me literally, not Internetally, LOL
About 52.8% Alabama
And .1% some naked guy and his dong rushing the field, causing Brent Musberger to call him the "idiot rushing the field"
my guess would be half hicks and half rednecks.
This Gilbert kid isn't terrible, considering he's a freshman coming in off the bench. He's getting no help from his WRs.
Gilbert could definitely use some mechanics work, but his WRs need to be bringing some of these passes down.
is it just me, or is the at&t anti-verizon commerical guy really annoying? its even worse than the creepy taco bell denise ads.
Unh-oh, prepare for negbombing from the Denise Fanboy club.
Yes, Luke Wilson is getting annoying. Wasn't he thin at some point?
I also don't understand at&t's argument. I switched to Verizon from At&t because they had such bad service where I live. Also its not like I live in the middle of nowhere. We are talking about southern california.
But then you get successful in Hollywood and you no longer have to share a can of tuna fish with your six roommates and four cats.
It's called success--and it means the table by the window at Poulet du Sucrose 'n Lamb Flambet and chicks that'll suck your cock no matter what you look like.
Exercise? Fuck that. What self respecting bimbo in Hollywood gives a shit what you look like once you are pulling down $10 Million per bomb?
to lose - but man, why don't they try something different?
Shit, go to the wishbone.
Side note - McCoy was not the national player of the year.
McCoy may or may not be the most outstanding player this year (Heisman), but no one is more valuable to his team.
The Texas defense isn't playing poorly, but they can't do anything with a true freshman playing against an excellent defense with five weeks to prepare.
If Texas had a backup (maybe if they had a backup)this wouldn't have happened.
As far as value to team - I would have to say it is Tebow.
IME, of course.
you could say that about a lot of QB's this year.
Plus, Gilbert might be getting his sea legs!
not sure if this has been mentioned (im not reading thru 250+ posts), but this game really reminds me of the michigan-osu game a few years back when chad henne had his arm immobilized by the needle of death. i think it was '07. osu got ahead early, and then just ran down the clock. of course texas is doing a bit more on offense here, but not by much.
edit: and just as i post that - texas scores.
I did not think I would see a Texas TD tonight until garbage time.
and there back! Now how stupid does that shovel pass look? Jeez dumb as play/strategy...just kneel it and play another half.
Well Shipley has ensured he won't end up in a shallow grave outside of Austin. So I guess he has that going for him now.
Maybe Texas can make a game out of it. Or else 'Bama will put the pedal back down on offense.
Edit: was that an onside kick?
Onside Baby! Momentum Shift!
Oh my. Please make it a game Texas.
off the alabama up-man?
holy shit these WRs aren't helping him out.
If they caught maybe 1/4th of the passes thrown to them, they'd be tied right now.
on the onside kick, one texas guy came up pointing in the wrong direction. *chuckle
Love that call. Gilbert finally stepped into a throw and then Brown makes a ballsy call.
The only Texas game I ever went to was the huge Vince Young comeback against OK State. Never felt a stadium more alive.
Sadly the only game I have seen with Texas was @ the Rose Bowl when they beat us. I can still imagine the ball making it over the cross bar in slow motion. Walking back to the golf course was miserable with Texas fans singing that dumb railroad song.
But I must say Texas fans were the nicest bowl game opposing fans I've been around. We didn't blow the game or get screwed; they just had the ball last.
Texas was up there with the likes of Penn State and Nebraska as programs I could root for, before circumstances changed that.
College Football: wait long enough, and it'll make you hate every other team.
But the Burnt Orange is cool. Whenever you can take a color combo, and they think of you first... (like Maize and Blue :-)
How About TExas #43 pointing the wrong way on the On Side kick recovery? . I loved it when his teammate pointed it out to him. CLASSIC.
If Texas loses, but covers, I'm not going to be happy.
IS Ingram Out? I saw him leave with apparent cramps, has he been back?
Big Ten refs?
I believe it is Big East, but I see what you mean.
I do believe Texas it owed at least one makeup call here.
make the catch instead of complaining to the refs.
Turnover would be huge inside the 10!
But the longhorn logo ones are kinda cool.
Just for the record: I have always hated the four fingers at the end of the 3rd Q thing.
It does seem ridiculous and overdone; perhaps it was cool for the first team that did it...these days, not so much.
That was pass interference
Ashley Judd is slumming it if she is gonna be in the "Tooth Fairy" with the Rock.
How did the Rock go from the sidelines in the 30 for 30 The U to wearing a pink tutu? Just askin'
Long story short, never drunk dial your agent.
