Open BCS Championship Bowl Game Thread

Will Texas pull another big upset in the biggest game (please please please)? Will the great Satan win his 2nd at his 2nd SEC school? How glad are we that we're done with Fox? And will Denise from Taco Bell join us on ABC? All these questions and more will be answered during tonight's game. Here's to us not watching the game and commenting on it here in the near future because we're all AT the game, watching a much more likable team. :-)

They were a great team, but they were playing the "team of the history of college football" or atleast that's exactly what ESPN was making USC out to be. And that was an extremely talented USC team to boot.

So while an amazing team, and the winning team, it was still an upset. Going into that game nobody was giving them a shot in hell.

Eh, ESPN =/= Reality (See: "The Big Ten is the worst conference in history", or Drew Sharp talking). That was an extremely talented USC team, so an argument could be made either way (pregame coverage). I personally picked Texas, a lot of people did. Obviously, ESPN just didn't cover that part.

Fortuantly they won the game. And at the end of the day that's all that really matters. Hook'em Horns!

The one thing I am certain of is that the team that scores the most points will win. Finishing second isn't a moral victory, just gives you the distinction of being the best known and most memorable LOSER.

I'm just excited that the loser of this game will have a conference record in bowls this year of .500 I believe. In addition, even with an Alabama win, the Big Ten will still have a better winning percentage in bowls this year than the SEC. No matter what happens tonight, the Big Ten finished 4-3 and the MAC is on a one game bowl winning streak (after a 13 bowl losing streak). Midwest football is back! Somehow I dont think anyone really gives a hoot, arguably not even in the Midwest. :)

Above is based on my memory of bowl outcomes this year and was not researched for accuracy...that would take too much time and effort

Reality is an illusion created by an unsafe drop in blood alcohol levels that exposes one to the idiocy of others.

I think 'Bama's lines are overrated, but they're still extremely good. I think 'Bama takes this in the end because in the 4th they'll be able to use Ingram to kill the clock. Even so, likely a one score game. Watch them prove me wrong now.
