Mine may be different than some - proud. This program has come so far and is a model of what I'd want for Michigan basketball - excelling while doing it the right way. Regardless of the outcome, I am elated with all that's come to pass.
One word to describe your feelings going into tonight's game
Because tonight is going to be a party! You stay classy San Diego!
it works every time.
Odean. . .
Now that sounds CRAZY!
Jubilant (or elated or euphoric or...
why did I only get one word?
hmmm...that doesn't sound right... does it have to be one word?
That should fix it.
pretty much sums it up.
Talked to some of my friends and they say, “well – anything now is just kind of icing on the cake.” While I’m inclined to agree as I believe the general consensus is that this team was a S16 team and that was about it. Now that we’re so close, I find myself drawing on the same emotions I had from the two years the Fab 5 made it and how dejected I was after those losses. Winning tonight would kind of quell those feelings – that we finally “did it”. I was 9 when we beat Seton Hall. After years of struggling through the Ellerbe/Amaker years – we’re finally there. 40 minutes away.
Not to state the obvious, but I think if we are 40% from 3-pt land tonight I think we will take it home. I’m really hoping THJ and Stauskas have good games after being cold against ‘Cuse.
Either way, I’m damn proud of what this team has done and am decked out in Michigan gear today at work. Go Blue!!
I can't say that I honestly enjoy the games. I get too worked up. Same with football. But I just love Michigan.
Seriously though, "proud" for me too. So proud of this team because they are a true team. There could be infighting due to lost playing time and competition for headlines, but they just want to win.
Seems more likely it could be ADHD..
I realize that's two words, but I couldn't compund it.
A double entendre
IBS? Not a word, but I think it works.
You keep using this word...
I don't think it means, what you think it means...
Win for Michigan.
MGoHolyShit. I really don't know how to feel. given the teams I root for, this is my first time having a team I'm so emotionally invested in, playing for it all.
Me on the outside today:
And my true feelings on the inside:
Not a single ounce of work will be done today. I'm just too damn excited.
Maybe anxious would be better. It's kind of like the feeling before a big job interview or presentation. Just keep replaying it in my mind, and thinking about all the things that could go wrong.
I find myself repeating, "I'm so excited, I'm so excited" to no one in particular. Kind of like that one scene from Saved By the Bell where Jessie has the freakout......this is what Michigan fandom has done to me.
and I don't care.....because I'M SO EXCITED!!!
My word would be:
Piss off, spellchecker.
Los barcos? No son buoyant cuando son quemado.
Thrilled. For Beilein, for Michigan, for Burke, for the whole team. Just thrilled that they have the opportunity to play for a title.
Proud of our team and our university.
Tick. That's the one word for me. The clock is going SO SLOOOOOOOOOOW! I'm in an office with four women, only two of which are here, and they are from India and have NO interest in sports whatsoever. Doesn't help that I live in South Florida. The CNO here is a big sports fan (Bama fan, but any port in a storm, right?) so maybe I'll get to talk with someone today. Just pumped and have to contain it all day. ,
And proud. Lets take home the title tonight !
Come on people...almost to the end of like 100 comments before the first CONFIDENT! I am shocked myself at how confident I am in this game given how I felt about this team's chances when the tourney started.
Anxious more than anything. The thing that gives me really solid hope is the way we've come out in the second game at each stage of the tournament (VCU and Florida). I haven't been paying a ton of attention to the media, but I'm sure Louisville is who most people are expecting to win, and this team has been up to the task all season long when they're the underdog/upset pick. I'm just ready to explode through a wall right now and we still have a long ways to go before gametime.
This is what I'm clinging to right now. We've looked shaky in the opening weekend games (SDSU, Kansas, Syracuse), but we've been working on all levels for the second games (VCU and Florida).
I guess if Stauskas hits 5 threes before half, we'll know if we're on or not...
If yes than that is my word, if not superexcitednervous will have to do.
I am so proud of what this team has accomplished... One more win baby!
Aw man took my word!
nervous, excited, proud
This is a DREAM COME TRUE!!! I live in Atlanta and when they got the Final Four I said what a Dream come true if Michigan got to the Final Four in my home town...Not only did THAT happen but they are in the championship game..At the Semis there were a TON of maize n Blue in the crowd and I expect the same...I am cautiously optomistic about our chances tonight but whatever happens Its been a GREAT run by Michigan.....GO BLUE
how I feel. Good thing I read down far enough before posting!
"You know, you can say it backwards, which is 'dociousaliexpilisticfragicalirupes', but that's going a bit too far, don't you think?"--Mary Poppins
Go Blue! or Eulb Og!
Before the VCU game I hadnt missed a single bball game. Since then I have been training in Ft Dix New Jersey freezing my balls off (i live in Vegas) and working almost every game in the tourney!!!!! This has been the most miserable training of my life and to top it off I deploy for 6 months+ afterwards. However, all will be well when I check my phone (not authorized in the field) and we're up 15 with a minute to go...
You're in Ft. Dix freezing your balls off. Sorry, I couldn't help myself; that was low hanging fruit right there. Best of luck on your deployment good sir or ma'am.
I think the fact that you are freezing your balls off would clarify what sex you are.
I guess I did lob that one up for the alleyoop. Oh Im a dude btw and thanks for the well wishes homie.
@ Midnight tonight!
The last time I felt like this was before the 2006 Ohio game.
At this rate......I was 16 the last time we experienced this, I could be 56 next time this comes around.
What are you scared of? Being the runner-up?
Hyperventilating (on the inside, anyway)
Proud and emotionally friable if I were to get a few more words.
Talking about feelings is for pussies.
Fidgety. Time cannot move fast enough right now, and although there is plenty to keep me occupied, the looming game is definitely keeping me from doing anything quickly or in mone sitting. So much anticipation and excitement right now.
I'm just really happy and hopeful. If we do fall short in this one game I am going to be happy regardless. I live in Louisville now and I went out Saturday for both games at a bar right on campus. I got some shit from a couple drunk kids (which I thought was weird because it was BEFORE both games). EDIT: Wearing my really old Michigan Basketball t-shirt.
I won't be going out to watch it tonight. I will be home on my couch with my dog - Charles Woodson - and a few Centennial IPAs.
I love this team and I understand it is a real lightening in a bottle situation. I also have a ton of respect for the Lousville team that has been up and down this season and happens to be the deepest team I can remember in a while.
I am hoping for a good game that is decided by the players. That's all.
just feels like heartbreaking is in the cards tonite but lets see what happens
Just so happy to be at this point but now the ultimate prize is right there for the taking now!
I haven't been this nervous since my kids were born. I gotta go puke....
Second this. I bet it's Brandon's fault.
Gay. (no homo)
Good enough? Yes.
I mean seriously, WTF?!?!?!? Michigan is playing in the NCG tonight?
This past three weekends have been surreal, hard to internalize. The clobbering of VCU. The Shot. The clobbering of Florida. Mitch effing McGary!?!?!?
1989 comes to mind first and 1993 isn't even close. There was the "Michigan Man coaching Michigan" magic that seems to be paralleled this year. Just my two cents.
No doubt we win tonight. Go Blue!
Amazed that a chance for a national title is finially here again.
I feel as if Denard is constantly smiling at me!
This team has exceeded my expectations and now that they are this close I am on edge, not wanting to be let down.
this is more like six though.
so my one word is, because in the end, he will stand tall:
A Bro is always stoked.
SAD....I started feeling this yesterday, I am sad that this comes to an end tonight. It's been so much fun to watch this team all season. To see them rise, then to see them fall, then only to see them rise back up. We all know this is the last time this team will play together. I may have to blame alerigies for why my eye's are watering at the end tonight. This team is the prime example of why college basketball/football is STILL better by a large margin then pro sports. Win or lose tonight, I will still say Go Blue!!!!!!
This has been such a great ride, Michigan has played so well as a team, the kids and the coach have been so classy and are so likeable, and no one could have expected this the way the season ended. Whatever happens, happens. I would love to win, of course, but I can't be upset with whatever happens.
The first time in my memory (born in '89) to be able to witness a Michigan basketball team in the Championship game.
I hope they put up a fight, and either way, they are leaving Atlanta as winners in my eyes.
Go Blue. Beat Louisville
ON MY FEET IN FRONT OF THE TV! BOOM!
The other night, I said over and over -- don't pass to McGary (they were sending us to the line).
I would really like my one word to be: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMcGary!
