2009 Western Michigan W 31-7 (starting a true freshman QB)

2008 Utah  L 23-25 (not a terrible result considering Utah went undefeated that year and it was RR's first year and the worst U of M squad in history)

2007 Western Michigan W 62-24

2006 Marshall W 42-10

2005 Syracuse W 15-7 (not much to say about this one except that he was facing GERG)

2004 East Carolina W 56-23

2003 Wisconsin L 17-24 (the biggest black mark on the list. WV started off 1-4 that year, but rebounded and finished 8-5)

2002 Chattanooga W 56-7

2001 Boston College L 10-34 (not an impressive result, but it was RR's first year at WV)
