One of my favorite movies just got a little worse
We all know that "Remember the Titans " is an amazing movie, but one of the scenes that you only see on TV or in the deleted scenes makes me a little bit pissed off but still an amazing movie.
In this scene the boys discuss where they wanna play college ball.
that didn't make it into the movie because i would have walked out...
The movie should've offered an alternate scene. UM being the school of choice for both instead of tosu. THE BLUE EDITION COLLECTIBLE DVD. I'd buy that!
EDIT: Did I offend someone? Sorry.
When I read the thread topic, my first thought was that somehow George Lucas was surely to blame. This is worse.
whatever color they happen to call it. And this time they actually gave the writers credit.
Mr Owens did make some noise not that long before this time in history. The idea that OSU gained some support from this is not hard to believe.
We still have The Big Chill :) Nice shot of Anthony Carter in there.
That Buckeye fans threw up a little bit in their mouths when they realized that the characters in the movie were U-M alumni. Good. There's almost nothing I like better than leaving a Buckeye fan ill for all of the right reasons.
Because the writer of the Big Chill, Lawrence Kasdan, who also wrote the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark, went to Michigan.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure will never be ruined
We find out that they changed "University of Michigan" to "Alaskan Military Academy". Give my love to the princesses.
One thing we can all agree on: San Dimas High School football rules!
The movie "Jumper" spends some time in AA. Whats the name of that Sports Bar where his girlfriend worked?
Dunno...but lotsa Huron High in the begining...to bad the movie sucked
I think the bar Rachel Bilson's character worked at wasn't an actual bar in AA. I believe they filmed that scene somewhere else and just added all the Michigan stuff.
I hate that movie. Now the 2004 version of "The Punisher," that's a classic.
Strangely enough, I didn't mind that version of the Punisher. I actually liked it quite a bit.
"How I Got Into College" is a movie based in MI where the kids parents went to UM and they get into UM but only wish to go to Ramsey!?! Who are these people?
I understand why someone would want to play for Woody Hayes. If you don't play for him, then you risk playing AGAINST Woody Hayes at some point in your career. If you ever play against Woody Hayes, you run a serious risk of getting punched in the throat...
Who would want that?
Well... since this scene was deleted it's obvious the editors foresaw the overwhelming negative response it would have caused. Suspension of disbelief can only go so far.
great Michigan would be if there were NO Ohio State University.
potato salad.
If there was no Ohio State I think it would diminish us a little. There would be no the game. Our historys are linked. They make ours better and we make there's better. When the rivalry switches tides again like it always does we will be happy to have them around.
I always love when buckeyes talk about there more wins since the 50s when we have more wins in the 80s and 90s. Buckeyes like spartens have very selective memories. We will be back.
I was an extra in the movie wildcats which was filmed down the street from Gordon Tech High School (Catholic League North-ND feeder) and WGN studios and Wrigley Field is also on Addison Ave.
Wow, what a shitty movie.
Those two dorks can go to Ohio State for all I care, that movie is lame.
Nice moral for the audience, the story and cast crew selection was fanastic work done.
