That One Last '13 Spot
Not a recruiting expert but I'm guessing biggest needs and what we'll pretty much do for sure are as follows, 4 OL, 1 QB, 2 CBs, 2 or 3 DEs(need an elite pass rusher), 2 WR, DT or 2, then fill in the gaps of other positions depending on who's graduating, who doesn't pan out, etc. Just my best guess on needs and what they'll do. We need an elite receiver and I'm certain they'll take an elite one and at least another. Defensive line help is also needed, most specifically in the pass rushing department. QB is also going to be huge for us next year as well. Then the obvious 4 OL at least like they've said they'll take.
fit in with their approach to the rest his recruitment.
With the current class, they stand 2 scholarships over the limit for next year. I think I see one 5th year player who is pretty certain to not get the 5th year, but where will the other one come from?
I think the rumor is that one of the linebackers who was out with an injury this year is either medicaling or leaving the program.

Well the RCMBers are convinced he's flipping so if he does stay it will be a gut punch to that cesspool.

They were also carrying on about how amazing their uniforms and shies were today. I actually thought that the thread was supposed to be sarcastic. I am no fashion expert, but I think they were awful and the didn't even include one of their teams primary colors.

"What" ain't no country I ever heard of. They speak English in What?
I almost fell off my dinosaur from laughing so hard.
With poggi is very bizarre. Either the biff twitter account isn't actually his, or if it is then that certainly doesn't bode well for Michigan. The things that were stated kind of rubbed the B1G the wrong way, if he truly means it, which is weird because of his connection to Iowa, then I would expect Henry to flip by signing day. Who knows, I've heard reports though that Henry was kind of tagging along. We will see soon this week, if hoke didn't know about the OV, coupled with remarks from Biff, I would be surprised if hoke still considers him committed, assuming this was not discussed with Hoke...who knows, maybe it was?
Denard Robinson......They're not going to catch him!
the surprised recruit signing. Something totally off the radar, like flipping a 4* or 5* WR recruit! If we don't get that surprise, I say the coaches should just bank this last spot for the 2014 class.
expect the best
Could use a speedy slot Ninja in this class.

Committed to Texas A&M recently.
We ARE Michigan....COME GET SOME!!!
There they have half the players in the country
Apparently has grade issues as well. UCLA(which also has had trouble with receiving targets this class) backed off and I assume that's why Michigan never really seemed to get back in the running.

I really hope we offer Gibbs especially if poggi decommits
Reschke ? get him to flip from sparty, stick it to them one last time this recruiting period
Anyone think we may go after James Crawford aka the nephew of #2? I wouldnt mind keeping that legacy with the good guys

Crawford is too slow to play safety.
I am not sure what we will do with our last spot, but felt compelled to post this link to some msu recruiting news. Its paywalled. http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncfrecruiting/midwest/post?id=8788. Essentially it's a story about a msu offeree who decided to attend Toledo instead of msu. The recruiting equivalent to losing to a Mac school. Unbelievable. Now most drama that unfolds from here, I have perspective.
Be the change, I want you to be.
It's not the equivalent of losing to a MAC school, it is losing to a MAC school.
I'm guessing Cason's commitment to Toledo won't last. He'll probably get more offers down the road and end up going to a bigger school.
I'm betting that it's more like 2 spots.
I'm betting on the MI men closing with a pleasant surprise, or two.
I cannot believe Kelley flirting with the NFL will not shake loose more than one kid from ND, to someone's benefit. And I think that the MI staff's West coast ties may lead to a snag of a previous OR commit.
I'm betting we lose one we did not think we would lose, gain one we never thought we would get, and gain another who is a sleeper in the rankings, but had a break out Senior year.
Sentimental hogwash!
Laquon Treadwell stop playin, crystal ball!!! Of course you could stick with Ole Miss and hope like hell you see a bowl game.
I think it's pretty difficult to conceive of a scenario where it makes sense to bank a scholarship. Certainly there must be at least one worthwhile player who is either uncommitted or who is committed to a lower-profile school but would flip to Michigan if he received a late offer.

Banking scholarships is a stupid idea, in my opinion, unless the only available guys are worse than your walk-ons.
It's not like the next recruiting class is going to be 8 people strong. It's already going to be around 17 or 18. And we all know how that works - it will be over 20 by National Signing Day in 2014.
I disagree with brooktrail. We dont need any DE's or CB's at this time. Biggest position of need would have to be WR first and formost. Then I personally would take a DT. This coaching staff prides itself on its D-Line however the D-Line recruiting under Rich was terrible, and now we kind of need to overload at the position. No one knows what will happen if Pipkins or Washington gets hurt next year, who will replace them. Its a very unproven position for us.
Ive been looking at the prospect board on scout and one person did catch my eye.
Darius Latham out of Indiana. 6-5 285. Looks pretty good. Anyone know why he went with IU over all his other offers?
He and some other in-state guys want to stay home and see if they can bring Indiana to prominence.
Someone make a list of the top 50 uncommitted prospects and top 50 committed prospects at school with scandal coming, a coaching change, a pipeline highschool, etc.
Send out 100 letters and hope you get 1 back.
NCAA Football '13 style...kinda.

term success. That said, list of positions with highest priorities should be QB, WR, CB, DE.
