Once and Future Angel
Although I'm sure Angelique really wants to move on, this article just seems picking at a scab that hasn't quite healed:

For those that don't wish to read the whole article, here's the conclusion:
But nearly four months since Rodriguez was fired and Hoke hired, it seems time to move on. How many more times must the emotions of the last three seasons, both among the current players and the former players, be discussed and debated? Enough. Now, move on.From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20110423/OPINION03/104230386/To-current--ex-Wolverines--Get-over-hurt-feelings-from-Rodriguez-era#ixzz1KPQfz5yc

...absolutely right. The article is more than the conclusion. It shares her insights into the issue based on her perspective as a close observer of the program over the past few years and doesn't spare anyone from some approbation.
It's clear to me that her message should apply equally to fans and alumni as much as it does to former players.

she doesn't spare anyone from her offering of formal praise!
Let be known, Sir, That before this court, I praise Thee!

Here's a tip for Angelique: if you want to move on, don't write about it anymore.
You're welcome.

is as much of the Michigan football legacy as any one player or coach. Nobody is happy with his record that being said. I don't feel sorry for a millionaire, he doesent need a publicist or an apologist his record is what it is, he'll coach in a BCS power conference again. What I have trouble with is former players that still say they were not welcomed at Shemy Hall. When evidence says otherwise. Besides he started the alumni game a new Michigan tradition and he welcomed fprmer players back to workout. I really believe Van Bergen was spot on where were the former players, and there was some real distortion coming out of certain former players mouths. who said they did not feel welcomed. The Michigan fan base is looking at you BE.
He said/he said (best section title ever--BD) And here, apparently, is the miscommunication, or, maybe misunderstanding is the better word. The former players I've spoken to agreed on one thing: While they couldn't bring themselves to celebrate the losing, considering Rodriguez and Michigan were 15-22 in three seasons, they never stopped supporting the current players. But who could blame Van Bergen, and, perhaps other teammates, for thinking otherwise? The Wolverines had a losing record under Rodriguez, the defense was terrible and there was an NCAA investigation of the program.
It's obviously still happening, and it's time for it to stop. She simply stated that. No need for anyone to get their panties in a wad.
I think t will exist at least until Hoke coaches his first game. It may even continue until Michigan gets back to winning "big" games.
