This has been an amazing match so far. A little bit controversial though how USA tied it on a PK. They were given an indirect free kick in the box after the Canadian Goalie held the ball for too long before kicking it away, and then that led directly a handball on the free kick. Waback puts the PK in the back of the net to tie it up.

Honestly there could have been another penalty - a much less controversial one - about a mintue later for the US. But the ref didn't award it, correctly imo, no doubt because she had just had the two calls against the US. I think the worst call was the delaying call against the Canadian keeper. Fantastic job by both offenses today. Defenses were not that strong at all - I don't think this was all-time great offense, just very good offense and some kind of bad defense.

I think there is not much argument any more that Christine Sinclair is plainly the best player in the world. Quite the talent there.

Still crabby about the no-calls Canada's way.

i stepped away from the tv for a moment and missed the intro to the OT, so sorry if the announcers covered this... is it golden goal or play through the whole 30 mins of OT?

Great game, US Ladies.  Better get your sh*t together for Japan, however.  The defending tonight will result in a very poor showing against the Blue Samuraiesses? (Blue Lady Samurai? I dunno)

Just want soccer to fail in the U.S.  Have too many friends who are obnoxious with regard to soccer.  Also Canada got robbed on the penalty kick.....very sad

with Canada seeming to run out of gas at the end.  Wambach just missed her header, then the beauty by Morgan.

Fitting that it's the US and Japan again (as in rematch from last year's World Cup finale).
