Olympic swimming - [ED - Occurrences, happenings transpired. Spoilers herein]
So Vanderkaay get third place, I'm happy a Michigan dude got a medal.. British commentator killed it for me when she decided that he is a University of Florida graduate.. Come on!! He won a bunch of BIG TEN championships at Michigan.., seriously!! I want to protest at this point!
[ED:BISB - C'mon, man. It's the first damn day.]
You know, the VERY next thread which is all about Olympics.
Results inside.
Thanks!
(edit: see posts above and below for added instructions)
You better edit your title right away.
So it begins.
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-meta-request-please-no-olympic-spoliers
So not only did you spoil the race for those of us planning to watch tonight, but you even spoiled our expectations of Michigan getting a shout-out.
EDIT: Oh. I now notice it says "no olympic spoliers." So maybe you didn't understand.
OK, so the dude just decides to post this topic and then not check up on it at all? Mods, give him a healthy neg bomb.
Next question: where the hell are the mods?
/ hides phone before she comes back
From time to time we step away from the blog to, you know, have lives and stuff.
Lives that revolve around dressing Golden Retrievers up in Michigan gear?
.
Where do I sign up?
spoiling the 1980 miracle on ice for those watching the tape-delayed broadcast in Detroit? What a jackass. OP should have his avatar changed to a pic of Bill.
Start the chant!
ASSHOLE! ASSHOLE!
what a fucking douchebag
You dumb motherfucker.
Seriously, wtf made you think that thread title was a good idea?
for breaking the no Olympics spoilers rule/request on the first full day of the Olympics.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again, the minimum for starting threads needs to get raised to something higher than 100. Almost every thread that gets neg-bombed is by someone who just recently popped their 100 pt. cherry and they're either really new or haven't really contributed enough to understand how things work on the board. It's getting really old and annoying now...
But seriously, just freaking wait and post under one of the other hundreds of posts about the olympics.
And to those bitching about spoilers - welcome to the internet. Yes, it is nice to see a finish in real time and not know the outcome beforehand, but then you probably stay away from anything connected to the internet or other human beings with said access for the next couple of weeks.
Batman doesn't die in the end, and the dude from Inception is Robin, and the chick Bruce Wayne speeps with is the daughter of Rhas Algul and shes kid who escaped from the well. maybe try staying away from the intraweb until you see the movie
Thanks for replying to absolutely nothing above. I think you meant to post at AICN.
Since you called the OP it...I think I can call you a fucking douchebag for doing that.
It's all true.
Congratulations to Mr. Vanderkaay!!! You make the U-M community proud!!
Do you honestly think the issue here revolves around Vanderkaay winning a bronze medal?
No, some are angry b/c the OP let the cat out of the bag before tonight's NBC showing. I don't have TV so I don't care about that and am just excited to hear the news and happy for Peter V.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Congratulations to Mr. Vanderkaay!
Anyone who posts spoilers will lose the ability to create threads for the remainder of the Olympics.
OP, your points return on August 13 (the day after the Closing Ceremonies)
