Ohio's Class is full

http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2012/01/maxed_out_with_scholarships_oh.html

According to cleveland.com, Ohio's class is at their limit unless Urban does his best Saban impression in spring practice. Now, this can only help us with Reeves, but again, Meyer is from the SEC, so don't expect too much from him.

Did not really oversign when he was at Florida, to the best of my knowledge.  Also supposedly Richt is clean.  Miles and Saban are the masters of the oversigning.

The only article on oversigning.com with an Urban Meyer tag is this one.  Keep in mind one of the two cut was cut because he hit a girl, so that's a legit cut (although suspect since firing an AK-47 in downtown Gainesville just gets you in mild trouble if you're a stud).

The Ole Miss situation is/was a little different than the Bama and LSU stuff people complain about.  The Tide and Tigers are signing guys knowing full well that to make room for them under the 85 scholarship limit, someone currently on the team will likely have to be forced to transfer or accept the BS medical waiver.

The Rebs were signing huge classes knowing full well that half the guys in the class probably couldn't read and wouldn't be able to qualify anyway.  They essentially had to sign 35 if they had any hopes of actually enrolling 25 (or fewer) guys when fall camp rolled around.  Without oversigning they would have been way under the 85 scholarship limit.

I think the main reason why Meyer didn't oversign while he was at Florida is because his boss was strongly against oversigning.  Both presidents at Georgia and Florida have publicly spoken out against the practice of oversigning.

It will be interesting to see what Urban does at ohio.  Without pressure from his boss I get the feeling that we will see the Urban use some of the SEC tactics.

Greetings from Bolivia.

You don't actually need the second comma.  The meaning is the same in both sentences. You do not need the final comma in a list.  Consider "I had eggs, toast, orange juice, and pineapple."  You can also put "I had eggs, toast, orange juice and pineapple."  Both are correct and mean the same thing.

Does anyone know Diggs' leanings?  I see he's visited Auburn, Cal, Fla, and OSU.

I know OSU having the last visit could be big, but I don't think they were on his radar until Urban came to town.

There's no doubt he is doing this to get people to quit that aren't fully committed.  But it's not like he's only forcing below average players to go through these workouts.  His goal here isn't to weed out unwanted players -- it's to weed out players that aren't 110% committed to the the new system - whether they be studs or scrubs.

I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with Diggs visiting this weekend.  This of course is after years of Ohio fans complainging about Meyer's dirty recruiting after he took them to the wood shed in 2006.
