seriously, I know those were hideous, but this takes the cake.

How much do you think they'll get for the helmets (you know after they've signed them) in terms of tatoos?

I am SO sick of losing to these no class, trailer-trash, tradition-destroying hillbilly hicks it makes me want to vomit. They think those ridiculous freak show helmets are even cooler than whatever shitpot uni's they proudly wore the last two times we played them. And until we beat these knuckle dragging mouth breathing Springer wannabees we have to just sit here and watch the fucking mall parking lot carnival barker uniforms and take it.

That's great - it's April Fools.  I mean there is no way they would wear something that ugly right!  What  . . . they really are . . . wait . . .

This is NOT honoring the military. It's a half-assed public relations stunt designed to exploit peoples' patriotic feelings in an attempt to associate the Buckeyes with positive qualities associated with the military.

There are three schools in the FBS that can associate themselves with the miliitary. Everyone else--including very military-friendly schools like Texas A&M--needs to lay off the BS "tributes." If you want to pay tribute to the military, give state National Guardsmen 1000 tickets to the game and don't bring attention to how great the school for giving away tickets by "honoring" them at halftime. Also, don't have a color guard or a flyover. There's nothing like honoring the military by having 100+ people show up to launch an airplane at 0500 on their weekend.

That's my opinion as a military guy.

Zone Left, I know you are either former or current military, so your opinion on this carries a lot of weight with me (and likely others on this board). I agree with everything you're saying, by the way. The only thing I guess one could argue on the other side would be that the flyover reminds veterans in the stands/watching on tv and lets them feel some pride(?). Yeah, no idea- just kind of made that up.

Zone Left, I see why you'd have this opinion, but I tend to disagree. I think it's completely circumstantial based on who the coach, school, and players are. For example, a coach who does this because he wants to honor his brother overseas by reminding people that there are tens of thousands of people still deployed and stuck without their families. In OSU's case, I agree w/ you that there doesn't seem to be just cause. However, being in the AF, i can tell you most of us in the AF enjoy flyovers, and it helps recruiting. Quite a few of my pilot friends have been able to do flyovers, and they felt very privileged to do so after training for 3 yrs to be war-ready.. And it did NOT take 100 people, considering an entire Squadron is not even 100 people...

This doesnt belong here, but i dont want to make a new thread for it. New product idea: big fists (like hulk hands) that fit over your hands, but theyre always pointing. I call them: hoke hands.

These are a joke, TSIO is becoming the oregon of the big ten uniform-wise with their hideous, one time only uniforms modifications.

As for the adidas deal: This throwback shit is all pissing me off, this is MICHIGAN. You want throwbacks?? Look at what we're wearing now. THERES your "retro". It's all been the same for decades, and it is just fine with me.

As an ex-military man, I wish teams would stop with the camo uni's.  Army can do it, no one else should try.  It just looks bad.

If I remember correctly, the Marines actually had their new camo patterns either patented or copyrighted.  I would imagine the Army did the same with theirs.  Now why does the Navy and Air Force have their own patterns?  It's not like you can hide on a ship or in a plane  (Yes, yes, I realize they have the SEALs and the Air Force guys but still...).

The AF imitated the Army's camo pattern very closely when they came out w their new uniforms in '07, but they wanted to keep some personal identity. We have those uniforms because we (the AF) are now embedded on most of our deployments w/ the Army (same convoys, missions, etc.) I know it's no fault of your own, but it's ignorant to assume the AF is sitting in planes and Navy in ships.

Those helmets are seriously stupid. Is there nobody left in Columbus with any sense? Woody is rolling over in his grave right now.

i dont care if they do shit like this for their spring game. But, 2 years ago I took my wife to her first michigan osu game and it just didnt feel right with them wearing throwback unis. That and the tons of fans that sold their tickets to them... it was just a weird day.
