. it appears a lot of people are panicking about the hire of Kelly at ND . yes . while it is true that Kelly is one of the best offensive minds in the country, the rumors that he will hire Martin as his DC at ND are unfounded . possible, but undounded at this point . yes . In the menwhile, THE KNOWLEDGE has learned of some coaching changes happening soon at Michigan, and will post a diary about this . yes . PS: THE KNOWLEDGE has been basking in glory for the last few days after his very early prediction that Weis will be fired came to fruition . yes .

I thought "The Knowledge" was predicting that ND would hire Ed Martin to be their defensive coordinator. Being that he is "The Knowledge", I am sure he realized that Ed Martin is dead. It was at this point that I remembered that BILL Martin was leaving UM as AD, and I realized that he would become DC at ND. So much freaking Knowledge....

I always figured Hopson was gone, but was surprised he hadn't been fired yet. The real question is what about GERG? Personally I'd give him another year seeing as how our depth last year was abysmal.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about nothing be announced or even leaked, but I figure they DO NOT want a media circus and won't announce until a replacement is found. They probably also want the coach carousel to go into full swing to see which coaches go on the market

Weis will be fired and a coach on UM's staff may be fired (after two historically bad seasons, particularly defensively). Really shaky limbs you're climbing onto. Plus the always fun "Rumors that he will hire Martin" are unfounded at this point, but that its possible. Plug in any name instead of Martin - go ahead, and try it - and that sentence will be right regardless of the outcome. This act was far funnier on Haloscan.

I still prefer THE KNOWLEDGE to this pale imitation, THE_KNOWLEDGE. I dunno why but the underscore just wrecks it for me. I also feel like THE KNOWLEDGE used to intersperse the "yes"es more unevenly. I remember getting that little charge of electricity when the next "yes" would be dropped. Now they occur basically every two lines or something. Just not working for me.

I doubt Mallory would be considered, but he would be a hell of a LB coach, imo. He's been around the block, worked his way through the college ranks, and now finds himself as an ASSISTANT special teams coach for the NO Saints.
