Offseason OT Friday Posbang

Submitted by JeepinBen on

Are we there yet? are we there after the spring game? Is it officially Offseason Rules on the MGoBoard?

It's Friday, it's finally spring (rain isn't snow at least), the spring game is tomorrow, the weekend is upon us, Oberon is available... Happy Weekend and conversations about C-Rex and Canine Glands (stories of offseasons past for you noobs)

As I recall, there was rather an informal declaration of OT season after the BBW Bowl, but I would say that even if we weren't strictly there then, it's basically here now. Of course, I could be overruled here, but I doubt it at this point.

In any case, we're more or less fogged in here at the office - you could go outside, but there is currently no guarantee that you would be able to find the building again. As we're just off a major north-south road in Wayne County, it's safer to hang around this morning.

I may or may not be at the Spring Game - we just had a conference call about how the weather could ruin the weekend for me. Rest assured, if my weekend is ruined, it will not very likely affect my judgment in dispatching crews to evaluate storm damage.Very likely. Pretty sure.

Moving some beer around in the cellar, having Italian, playing board games and watching the Wings with some friends tonight, Captain America tomorrow, then brewing an Imperial Red on the home system Sunday afternoon. Cheers boys!

I'm bummed that Michigan sports are basically over for the year. A very abrupt end with hockey and basketball both concluding within a few weeks of each other.

I know there's still softball, baseball, and lacrosse but it ain't the same. At least the world cup is this summer

Offseason Sewer Chart? CHART.

I've been meaning to post about the NCAA sewer flows. Here's the sanitary sewer flow from last year's first round at the Palace and surrounding area. Red line is from the tournament compared to green and blue (normal weekdays/weekends)

As you can see, the highest sanitary flows coincided with the start of the MSU-Memphis game and end of the Memphis-St. Mary's game. LINK

Conclusions, Memphis or MSU fans use more water and likely took advantage of a sporting event for their morning routine.

*One of my favorite MGoBlog OT's evar.  Thanks, Jeep, for reminding me of this epic moment in MGoBlog history.

I will cross an entry off my bucket list tonight when I drink my first Dogfish 120.  I made a serious roadtrip yesterday (was on spring break with the family in Hershey, Pa) when I found a small beer store about 100 miles away that had one case left so I made the detour and bought it.

I am very much looking forward to this evening.

Going to the dedication tonight, the alumni game tomorrow, taking my daughter down to Alabama for a tour of the school on Monday, then heading either to Pensacola or New Orleans for a day or two.

Hookers, beer, diving, and just chilling. Joking about the hookers, they have last call too.

show.  When it was right it was really damn funny.  it struggled toward the end, but I have watched some true classics on syndication in the last few weeks.

Kevin's wedding gift to Jim and Pam:  "Do you take a check?"  "On the memo line I wrote To Love's Eternal Bliss.  Don't cash until Monday."

it made to make Andy more of focal point ultimately doomed it.  Ed Helms is really funny but his character on the show was just not very versatile.  So what it ended up doing was trying to make him "Michael Scott 2" and he was just not nearly as funny.  It did end strong though.  It reclaimed its mojo with about 10 episodes to go in the series.  Made me want one more season.

Yes.  Steve Carell is a genius and made the show along with Rainn Wilson.   Most hilarious guy per pound however was Creed - he was given 1 line every show and it always made me laugh.

IF you ever get a chance to watch the first few episodes it is interesting as I found Michael Scott to be a lot more mean spiritedr in humor than he became later; I think maybe they were trying to channel the British version a bit.  But he became a very lovable version of a goofball thereafter and away we went.

Friday took long enough to get here....

I broke my foot a couple of weeks ago and my follow up with the ortho was yesterday. Three more weeks in the @#$%ing post-op boot and I'm headed on vacation with my family to - of all places - D.C. next week. I get to hobble around the sites. Maybe I'll find a nice park bench and feed the pigeons instead.

Add to that the realization that the long winter's night has reeked havoc on my body weight and cardiovascular fitness.

On top of that, it's raining and grey outdoors right now.

I think I'm in a surly mood. I need a posbang and pictures of Kate Upton in a microbikini.
