Our running backs have talent but most of them need to learn how to run with the football.

The video posted the other day showed Ty Wheatley scoring on just about every play, but he made many cuts and busted through tackles to get there.

I am elated with this coaching staff.  The guys are hard core and are on a mission to put Michigan back on top.  You can feel it, this is no nonsense. Wheatley coming on board is icing on the cake.  Damn we are going to be good.

Does this mean Michigan will allow football players to run track?  I think TW was the last Michigan football player to do that.  Denard ran indoors for a season, but when outdoor track came around the track team had his ticket to the Penn Relays bought and the football team said no.  The team is full of state sprint/hurdle champions including Peppers, Drake Johnson (4th in the US High Hurdles in HS), Cheson & Darboh were both intermediate hurdles state champs and I am sure there are more.

Other schools allow it, it's common in  the SEC, why doesn't Michigan?

I'm all for football guys running track. It builds the key ingredient missing for Hoke's era.....speed! Track is a great sport to participate in if you are a football player. Peppers would be a huge get for the Track team. Just as long as his mysterious injury is healed up.

This makes me happy.  I was a student at UM at the same time as Wheatley.  I will always appreciate him for coming back for his senior year, especially since the decision ended up hurting his draft stock.

How little class you've shown, J. Ira and Nicki Harris, in spending tem million bucks to have your names called out every time the head coach of the University of Michigan's football team does so much as make a hire, walk in the door, or fart in public.

It is my sincere hope that your names are inscribed in the J. Ira and Nicki Harris head football coach of the University of Michigan's office toilet, where they can receive the proper attention every day.

Sincerely, the BlueHills University of Michigan Alumnus Craptastic Pomposity Hater.

Wheatley looks like Warren Sapp.  Hopefully they will show his highlight film to the RBs.  What happened to Doug Karsh?

Any update on Roy Manning? He's obviously not on the coaching staff...but is he officially no longer part of the program?

I had a dream during my nap  that Harbaugh told him the DL job was his once Mattison retired when his contract was up and that he needs to go take a DL job for a couple of years before coming home to Ann Arbor.

I just woke up, forgive me.

announced his hiring. I've been waitung with crossed eyes, fingers, legs, and toes for the announcement from MGOBLUE.com. Now let's hope all these great NFL hires stop the sinking of the Great Ship Michigan.
