I don't care for her music but, in fairness, if Charlotte McKinney was selling 8 balls, offered to toss my salad, and buy me stuff, I think I'm down with that.

whether you like her style or not, at least recognize & give proper respect. Nikki Minaj is a talented, smart, barrier-shattering female rapper who hangs with the big boys. And yes, she's unrepentantly sexy, in a post-second-wave-feminism kinda way. In other words, she owns it: she actively shapes her own brand and sexuality, vs. getting played by the industry. All within, of course, the ever-present mandates of the market and popular culture in which we all operate... still, she pushes the envelope of race & beauty standards, as well as artists' control of their music and women's control of their sexuality.

She has a bit of attitude, true, but can also pay tribute. Not unlike a certain Head Wolverine, who has his days / quirks. Hey, if you're good...

I'm not a fan of either artist (as I'm more of a Public Enemy/Pixies/Sonic Youth/Meat Beat Manifesto kind of guy), but you could make a strong intertextual comparison between her career and Madonna's in examining third-wave feminism through the notion of women shaping their 'brands' as they control and celebrate the presentation of their own sexuality.

Rumors are going around that Michigan got 3 commitments today. I am assuming that Sir Patrick is one of them. The rumors come from one of the players parents.
