At the risk of making the same mistake twice, I like Valentin's game - he reminds me of Chris Bryant, who I liked coming out of high school. I think Valentin bends a little better than Davis, and I wonder if Davis will struggle with standing up too high at the next level.

Well having one playmaker a year isn't such a bad wish. I'm fine with that. I think you could make an argument that finding one a year is actually a "need" to sustain a great offense. I hear your point though my man. I think we forget about Cole from last years class. Here's to hoping he shows those "playmaking" skills a few times his freshman year.

Coach Sark was 9-4 at USC last year in his rookie year (a record we love to have this season under Harbaugh)...with limited scholarship players due to sanctions (which are now over). Meanwhile Coach Sark was able to get Juju and Adore despite a coaching change and land Iman Marshal. So how is it working out State Street?...pretty darn good. He also managed to turn a lackluster Kiffin QB into a Heisman favorite this year.

Don't be a homer...a true sophomore that barely played last year before a season ending injury is not "maybe" going to win the Heisman. I hope Peppers lives up to his potential and is in that conversation in another 1-2 years...but seriously...ain't happening next year.

Oh, please a blind llama could have recruited those guys to USC, it's not like they were ever going anywhere else.  The sanctions were a convenient excuse but there was still a shitload of talent on that team.  Sark earned his nickname and we'll see if he transcends it, but I have my doubts.
