It was looking ok until Denard went out and our defense decided to implode and Bellomy couldn't make a throw to save his life.  Commence the bitching.  Oh, and the refs where all around the worst I've seen this year both ways.  Whisky time....

I mean I have no idea after the 20-30 plays Bellamy runs why Borges keeps calling the same plays. Isn't insanity doing something that keeps getting you the same results but hoping for different ones everytime? My mind is drawing a blank.

Because you didn't see anyone on camera showing signs of leadership, you decide that there are no leaders on the team? How do you even come up with that? You aren't on the sideline, you don't know what is being said.

I mean, yeah, pick anything that you can't quantify and put the blame on that. Since you can't quantify it ... you can't be wrong.

Reply to Baba Booey - probably not since he is recovering from Mono....and here's more bad news. He will most likley lose a ton of muscle mass because he can't eat, is exhausted all the time and certainly can't work out at all. He is a mortal lock for a RS next year due to physical limitations brought about by Mono. It sucks and takes more than a year to truly recover from.

DG is our starter next season no matter what the coaches say.

Mono can easily take a year to recover 100% from. Especially considering the demands he places on his body as an elite athlete. I certainly hope he has a faster recovery but would be shocked if he is anything near 100% anytime soon. Didn't another one of our players go through something like this recently and it took him a long time to recover? I want to say it was Roh but I am not sure.

Denard's got a boo-boo. Borges, you know, we just uh.. we just didn't execute. We've got tremendous faith in uh.. uh.. Russell Bellomy, uh.. I just wish we would have executed a bit better, well.. yeah, I'm not happy, uhh..

There is a reason Borges has been to so many schools. He is awful. It is not denard, Bellamys performence proves that. He needs to go If that is what we are going to see next year.

Henne had a pretty good oline and Braylon Edwards.

Most of the starters on the oline will be experienced and there won't be any wr close to the level of Edwards next year.  WR is a position where UM needs a major upgrade in talent over the next couple of recruiting classes.

Most of the starters on the oline will be experienced next year?  Lewan is probably gonna go pro.  Barnum, Mealer, and Omameh all graduate.  That's 4 out of 5 of the starters gone next year.  Our O-line is gonna be very young and untested next year.

All the more reason for anyone saying they want to put in Shane right away to stop and think - he's gonna have no protection.  We're better off biting the bullet on a weak season with Bellomy or Devin at QB than letting him get pounded all season long.

The lost falls on the coaching staff: first of all they did not have the back up QB ready to play. Bellomy has looked terrible all season even when it didnt matter!  Then, they dont give Gardner a chance when it was apparent that Bellomy had no chance to even manage the game.  I know Gardner has not practiced at that position all season but Im sure he would not do any worse than 3-16 for 38 yds and 3 interceptions.

Dear Universe,

You're fired. You gave us the best runner on the planet and an offensive coordinator who can't tell the difference between the read option and potato salad. He compounds his ignorance of the spread option (understandable) with a stubbornness that would make Caligula himself look like a vacillating wallflower (indefensible). Top it off with a dash of horrible clock management and you have yourself a perfect little shit sandwich known as Borges Denard Fusion Cuisine.

And of course that's not enough, because on this particular night, it was revealed that we don't even use real Denard in our cuisine anymore. Try as you might, your efforts to convince us we'll be alright with Bellomy (I can't WAIT for the postgame presser) will go over about as convincingly as New Coke... and a lot more devastating.

This is not a garden-variety existential quandry I'm in following a tough loss. There IS meaning in the universe, and that meaning is pain. Wake me up after the season ends or the Big Crunch happens, whichever is more merciful.

Sincerely, Chopblock
