I heard they just added a Jordan Kovacs Walk-On wing to the Hatcher Library if you want to learn more about the story.  I hope you're familiar with the Dewey Decimal System, because...

Edit: don't know how to insert a screen shot. Joke failed.

To me the only question was whether or not Taylor Lewan would be the third captain. That would've been cool to see, not many juniors get that honor and he's certainly worthy, but he'll have his chance next year.

Also, I believe "Kovacs!" would make a great title for the inevitable movie made about his life. It's a better story than Rudy.

I understand that they normally have at least 1 captain on o and 1 captain on d, but is there anything else that determines how many captains they have?

the best thing about choosing these two as capatains is that NOTHING will change.

Denard & Kovacs were going to be selfless, motivational leaders anyway.  They have grown so much over the past 4 years that making them Captains (while an honor) was really just a formality for these great kids.

ever football walk-on?  (Success in this case being measured by being a full-time starter, elected either captain or co-captain, off-field honors like Freshman All-American or All Big Ten, leading tackler, etc.)  You probably have to go back to the Bo days to find a walk-on who was even close to Jordan Kovac's success.  Congratulation to Jordan!
