He is a total prick. And he's very hesitant to mix it up with anyone who's truly feared in the league. He'll beat the hell out of the Brandon Prusts of the world... but ask him to step up against a true enforcer and he'll talk about how that's not his game.

Alfie still injured? He ain't keeping up. Bert for corner work and in front of their net. Not getting blinding the goal.

Howard was not at fault for this game. He's been under relentless pressure and no one has helped him out. Doesn't help that the wings have only two goals in two games now.

Wings aren't going to to make this a long series if Franzen, kronwall, and alfredson step up and get some offense going.

a trip.

Its not like Boston wasn't kind of good this year, or been kind of good for the last few years.  Its called 'push back', its what good teams do when they lose a game in the playoffs.

Detroit got what they wanted in Boston, a win.  To win this series Boston must win at the Joe.

Have to disagree. As you saw today as soon as boston got their first goal they never let up and the crowd played a huge factor in that. To steal one game was huge to have a shot at this series but boston fed off of the crowd. Sports illustrated had an interesting article a few years back about home field advantage and while it may not be as big of a factor as we may think the results showed that officials are more likely to favor the home team due to the crowd. In hockey momentum is everything.

Tough loss, but the game one win still has the odds pretty significantly in Detroit's favor. The game one winner wins the series almost 2/3 of the time, and even higher when the game one winner is the road team. Just need to keep battling.

Smith taking a beating throughout social media. I did feel he was getting targeted a little by the Bruins and it probably wasn't a bad idea to try to make a statement, but...going after the other team's 6'9" captain and just getting laughed at probably wasn't the way to go about it.

Did anyone else think it was funny that Lucic threw a fit when he got caught twenty feet offsides and the empty net goal didn't count? Uhhh dude, your team is up by three goals. Calm down.
