i like 'em both
Howard has to control that rebound
4 softies for howard today
The defense didn't help him out much on the Lucic goal
True, but he could have done better.
Not sure if serious...
Why even pull Howard?
As trey Burke proved last year it ain't over till it's over
Howard stunk it up today.
Eh. With the way the offense was playing he would have had to backstop another shutout for the Wings to win.
Just a terrible game all around
right as Howard got pulled but they did seem to get better at about halfway through the third. Obviously not good enough, but better than they had been looking.
Forwards who are not Datsyuk need to show up. Zetterberg is desperately needed to just drag people into trying hard.
Its not like Boston wasn't kind of good this year, or been kind of good for the last few years. Its called 'push back', its what good teams do when they lose a game in the playoffs.
Detroit got what they wanted in Boston, a win. To win this series Boston must win at the Joe.
Home ice means very little in hockey.
Not sure about that.
Have to disagree. As you saw today as soon as boston got their first goal they never let up and the crowd played a huge factor in that. To steal one game was huge to have a shot at this series but boston fed off of the crowd. Sports illustrated had an interesting article a few years back about home field advantage and while it may not be as big of a factor as we may think the results showed that officials are more likely to favor the home team due to the crowd. In hockey momentum is everything.
Tampa Bay is getting boned in Montreal.
I got club seats and made big plans for game five and I'm really starting to think there's about zero percent chance that game gets played.
The no goal, the offsides, didn't call a penalty on the interference, Stamkos takes a knows to the head. You know it's bad when CBC announcers call it out.
Tough loss, but the game one win still has the odds pretty significantly in Detroit's favor. The game one winner wins the series almost 2/3 of the time, and even higher when the game one winner is the road team. Just need to keep battling.
Let's go Kings!
So. About that. Wow. They sure look like they are falling apart at the seams.
Smith taking a beating throughout social media. I did feel he was getting targeted a little by the Bruins and it probably wasn't a bad idea to try to make a statement, but...going after the other team's 6'9" captain and just getting laughed at probably wasn't the way to go about it.
He is the big pussy that didn't drop his gloves.
What's your next username going to be?
He's 6'2 and 200+. I doubt he cares what a bunch of out of shape internet strangers say about him going up against Chara. Not one of those posters would have the balls to go against Smith.
Did anyone else think it was funny that Lucic threw a fit when he got caught twenty feet offsides and the empty net goal didn't count? Uhhh dude, your team is up by three goals. Calm down.
Yeah Roids are a hell of a drug...
with them so I consider that a huge win.
