The Official NSD Prediction Thread
6 players left on the board: Willingham, Clark, Barnett, Rawls, Cooper, Fisher.
I'm going 4 for 6.
We get Willingham, Clark, Barnett, and Rawls
Lose out for Cooper (Michigan St) and Fisher (Oregon).
Then Hoke gets pissed, rips off his tear-away shirt, and grabs another Purdue recruit.

maybe.

you just invented a verb there..
January 31st, 2011 at 9:26 PM ^
Barnett, Clark, Rawls, and Willingham go Blue i believe, while I think Cooper is just "too little too late" in regards to his recruitment. Also, Its hard to get any sort of feeling about Fisher, but the very little have is not good.
6/6 I hope though.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
plus Clowney (surprise!)
January 31st, 2011 at 9:27 PM ^
is a ZERO percent chance Clowney goes to Michigan. ZERO
January 31st, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
On that which makes us the kings of wishful thinking. Of course I'm being honest, all the speculation and conjecture is veiled hope for our beloved Wolverines to beat the snot out of everyone else. Getting the best recruits available is the logical way to realize that action.

all your base are belong to us
January 31st, 2011 at 7:30 PM ^
I'm virtually in the exact same boat as you are, with those 4 choosing to sign with us. One thing that worries me is that Willingham has a teammate at Colorado and lives in Colorado. I know we've heard that his Michigan visit was great, but I'm just not as certain with him as with the other 3. I'm fairly confident that he'll come to UM, but just for the sake of converstaion, what makes you so certain he'll come?
January 31st, 2011 at 10:30 PM ^
Sam Webb has a gut feeling on Willingham. Thats usually a pretty accurate indicator.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:33 PM ^
Michigan Locks: Willingham, Clark, Barnett, and Rawls
Tossups:
Fisher (Michigan)
Cooper (Iowa)
January 31st, 2011 at 7:38 PM ^
So you predict a tossup? Does that mean they will shock everyone by deciding with coin flip?
January 31st, 2011 at 7:38 PM ^
Every Ohio State, Michigan State, and Notre Dame recruit decommits.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
After NSD when can the coaches start to recruit the 2012 class? I know obviously they have been in some contact with players hence the posts of offers for 2010 kids but what are the rules is there a dead period for them or is it full force ahead?
January 31st, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
........Clark, Barnett, Willingham and Rawls for us. I also think we got in on Cooper just in time, and that he'll be a Wolverine as well.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:53 PM ^
I agree. I think we get five of six and cooper goes blue. Fisher goes out west.
January 31st, 2011 at 9:55 PM ^
I'll go the same, except it is Cooper we lose and Fisher goes Blue. Really, can a life-long UM fan whose family lives in TR go to Oregon to play?... when the Hokester is just rolling? Also, is it possible to choose Arkansas over Michigan? So I think we only lose Cooper.
January 31st, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
Fisher seems like a long shot at best.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:47 PM ^
What happened to Trayion Durham? Didn't he visit like just a week ago and it says on rivals that he still hasn't committed.
EDIT: Nevermind, Kent State
January 31st, 2011 at 7:48 PM ^
Durham is going to Kent State.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:47 PM ^
Well Mark from Novi seems to think we are locked for all 6 recruits, so mark it down.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
Only if he can BKFinest it...
January 31st, 2011 at 8:38 PM ^
Who's Mark from Novi? I'm Mark from Novi but have made no such predictions.
This Mark from Novi is going with 5 of the 6, with Oregon pulling Fisher away.

At 7:45 in the morning and WTKA does a piece called "recruiting roundup" every day M-F. Sam Webb AKA "the Michigan insider" hosts it and does a great job. Marc calls in every morning with an interesting/relevant question/comment for Sam. He honestly could probably co-host that segment. I think I've also heard him in the afternoon calling, but the morning show with Sam and Ira is the best AM sports talk show on the air. The sports I.Q. is what you would expect from a Michigan Sports talk show, and the guys do a great job. They also put the recruiting roundup on the podcast on their stations' website.
January 31st, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
Cosign. I listen every morning, and Sam and Ira do a great job. Sam Webb and TomVH are completely in a class all by themselves when it comes to covering UM recruiting; nobody else is even in the same galactic sector.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:50 PM ^
I predict that BKFinest approves of this thread and therefore I don't.
Honestly,
Clark,Rawls,Willingham-Michigan
Barnett-Leaning towards Michigan but not as certain as the above 3.
Fisher-Between UM and Oregon. Oregon concerns me. I think he goes blue (maybe just wishful thinking) based on distance/what others around him want but no confidence whatsoever.
Cooper-No idea. I believe Iowa, although for the life of me I don't know why.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
Beat me to it. I like the way you think...
January 31st, 2011 at 8:36 PM ^
I totally agree with you about Cooper. How can a parent trust Iowa with their kids? This college, that in the past couple months, have had several black marks against it for example players kicked out of the program and not to mention sending a dozen kids to the hospital with an "unexplained illness".
January 31st, 2011 at 8:59 PM ^
What parent wouldn't want to send their kids to Iowa?
Cocaine
Marijuana
Prescription Drugs
Exertional Rhabdomylosis
January 31st, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
I also think Rawls ends up like Mike Hart - comes in under the radar (relatively) and tears it up right off the bat.
January 31st, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
Clean sweep. baby
January 31st, 2011 at 7:56 PM ^
I predict Clowney, Thomas, Depriest, D. Grant, Timmy J, Sammy Watkins, and HaHa to all yell 'surprise!' and pull an M hat. BKFinest it
January 31st, 2011 at 8:07 PM ^
I was hoping for Frost
January 31st, 2011 at 8:15 PM ^
For a couple hours yesterday, the real Devin Gardner was using your design on twitter as his picture/avatar/whatever. Like the one I have as my picture, 'cept with the "Devin Gardner" subtitle...you see that?
January 31st, 2011 at 8:33 PM ^
that is 100% pure Colombian Awesomeness... someone tell him he can keep it up there, I don't mind
January 31st, 2011 at 8:35 PM ^
I thought it was pretty crazy...it looks like he's swapping pictures every couple of hours now..hahah
January 31st, 2011 at 8:38 PM ^
maybe he'll loop around

January 31st, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
but they made me change it
January 31st, 2011 at 8:06 PM ^
Willingham, Clark, Barnett, Rawls, Cooper, Fisher
Willingham - Blue
Clark - Blue
Barnett - Blue
Rawls - Blue
Cooper - Blue
Fisher - Oregon
5 out of 6 with Cooper the most likely to not end up Blue.
January 31st, 2011 at 8:16 PM ^
January 31st, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^
January 31st, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Scout has us at 28, rivals at 27 - with four more solid prospects, we are definetly a top 25 class
January 31st, 2011 at 8:23 PM ^
January 31st, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
Willingham - Blue
Clark - Blue
Barnett - Blue
Rawls - Blue
Cooper - Blue
Fisher - Oregon
Then Hoke turns Beavers Blue snubbing the Illini. (I kind of feel like we missed the boat on Beavers...given our needs up front.)

I predict that I will need to buy a new F5 key on Thursday.
