Official Michigan Bandwagon Thread

Submitted by bklein09 on

Dennis Dodd from CBS Sports has officially jumped on the Michigan bandwagon putting us at #22 on his Power Poll.

I know none of us were ever off the bandwagon, so this thread is for people ("experts" or otherwise) who have jumped on the bandwagon after yesterday's performance.

Personally, I'd be fine if Michigan continued to be disrespected because it will help keep our young team focused. But I guess love is better than hate.

Someone help me out with that Bo quote about being focused whether you're doing well or doing poorly. Thanks!

There's a little boy and on his 14th birthday he gets a horse... and everybody in the village says, "how wonderful. The boy got a horse" And the Zen master says, "we'll see." Two years later, the boy falls off the horse, breaks his leg, and everyone in the village says, "How terrible." And the Zen master says, "We'll see." Then, a war breaks out and all the young men have to go off and fight... except the boy can't cause his legs all messed up. and everybody in the village says, "How wonderful."

Now the Zen master says, "We'll see."

Rosenberg wrote a kiss-ass, err, flattering article about UM today. Maybe if he writes a few more everyone will forget that he sold out his alma mater to advance his own career. Or maybe not.

Awesome

To any recruits browsing the board...

Take note of the exposure you will get if you come to Michigan and do well. We have an enormous fan base that has very a noticable presence in every major metropolitan area in the country, and the national media loves to cover Michigan football.

Funny how fast the same media outlets dogging us before the season are so quick to jump on board after one game.  This team will stay humble because of the insatiable hunger, and dedication to the University of Michigan.  If anything these last couple of years have made me more die-hard then ever, so anyone just jumping on the bandwagon makes me sick.  HAIL HAIL

Fress Press Columnist Injured in Stampede

South Bend 9-11-2010 (AP)

Detroit Free Press sportswriter Michael Rosenberg sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in an attempt to leap onto the UM bandwagon Saturday night in South Bend after the Wolverine's convincing 34-14 victory over the Fighting Irish. The scene surrounding the bandwagon can fairly be described as chaotic as hundreds of formerly disgruntled fans and hypocritical Detroit-area sports journalists rushed the vehicle in a frenzied attempt to board it before it left the Notre Dame campus. Some resorted to the near-suicidal approach of leaping onto the bandwagon from the windows of surrounding buildings, and Rosenberg's injuries were sustained in a poorly-calculated leap that resulted in him missing the bandwagon entirely and faceplanting instead on the roof of a rusting minivan parked next to the bandwagon. Efforts to confirm the nature of Rosenberg's injuries were rebuffed by the Free Press, but unconfirmed reports suggest that they include severely bruised pride, compound fractures to the reputation, and a punctured and collapsed ego.
