Great game for the fighting Jakes. Only marred by the nine touchdowns and 650 yards rushing put up by opposing QB Jake "Leidner" JakeManziel....

yes, absolutely necessary. It was that bad. Guys, did you know he was a pocket passer in hs? Thought they would mention that fact along with the same 3 others all game long. hmm...

to start about the run game that 3.2 per carry average after 35 runs and 113 yards rushing.

Truth be told, though, Patrick spent way too much time talking up Leidner. Minnesota played not to get blown out, and they got blown out, anyway. Even if the numbers suck, this is what it was.

The biggest number they didn't talk about was the lack of any Michigan turnovers, a first under Gardner. Michigan moved Funches outside and they made their Oline strength a strength when Schofield and Lewan lined up next to each other.

It might be epilepsy, and this might concern Minnesota, although they knew about it before they hired Jake Kill. BTW did you know that Jake Yost won 50 consecutive home games beginning with his first one - that's actually a record they say. Attribution: Jake Falk, one of Michigan's jug keepers.

YPC isn't killer but it seemed to me that was largely bcs. the playcalling in 2nd half was to milk clock. Run on 1st, run on 2nd, throw if necessary on 3rd. Which worked fine, in the end. On pass pro and when the playcalling got creative the new line looked v. good, I thought.

I will say that I am not typically one to gripe too much about the crews that do the call either, but in this case, I am seriously impressed that they did not mention something about how decisely Mitch Leidner would sip his Gatorade. It wasn't good, to be sure.
