oh, funny. i might have to reexamine my tendency to pronounce every syllable.
i once spent like an hour trying to figure out how pink floyd got "comfortably" down to three syllables. i think they switched the order of the "r" and "t" (comf-ter-bly).

I was just making shit up. Pronounce every syllable, I agree. But I loosen it for Haiku purposes. Because I make shit up. But I do it with authority so that others believe it.
I think we can all agree that Astronomy Domine has 7 syllables right? I suppose that's obvious.
But what about The Nile Song?
BTW that Brits are great at that. When in London, don't ask where "Ligh-ses-ter" Square is. Ask where "Less-ter" Square is. Despite the fact that it is spelled "Leicester Square."
