Official 2012 MGoBlog Spotify Tailgate Mix
Hey all --
I put this out last year as the 1st annual MGoBlog Tailgate Playlist and I wanted to send this out earlier than last year in an effort to get more songs contributed by the MGoCommunity. I know that Spotify's popularity has increased dramatically in the last year so hopefully this can gain some ground.
MGoBlog 2012 Official Football Tailgate Mix
I have kept the playlist public, meaning you can add songs as you wish that you feel would be a good fit for the mix. I am doing my best to make it just that - a "mix": country, indie, electronica, rap, hip/hop, classic rock, etc.
Anyone who wants to contribute, please do so!
Thank you and I hope to be hearing this playlist around Cowboys Stadium in 23 days!
EDIT:
Quite the eclectic mix thus far: Miley Cirus, Tom Jones, Pitbull, George Strait, Passion Pit, to name a few. Keep it going.

Does it include "In The Big House?" Please say yes!

Actually, no...

You are aware that "In The Big House" is the anthem for all Michigan fans who like to RAWK!! Which is basically everyone on MGoBlog. You must be new here.
Yeah, brah! Super serious. How could there even be a question bro? RAWK!!

how is this considered "off topic?" just curious.

Fixed, unless mods feel it is OT.

Well I wasn't trying to be an asshole about it, but I figure anything related to the blog or Michigan isn't off topic.

It's okay, but it could have used more Nickleback.

Shigeto - Ann Arbor Parts 3 + 4
RJD2 - Ghostwriter
Claude Von Stroke - Who's Afraid of Detroit?
David Starfire - Juuteeya
Not sure if this is the exact vibe you are going for, but I for one will be drinknig to these songs come September 1st!
+all the points for adding Shigeto.

No lose yourself?
No 7 nation army?
I don't even think I saw the victors, temptation or any of the traditional songs the band plays. Someone must add these things pronto!
August 8th, 2012 at 12:54 PM ^
Unfortunately, Spotify has no good versions of The Victors (they actually have a death metal version, seriously) and no Temptation, etc. It's a shame.

I know everyone hates the original song. But if you do the youtube to mp3 converter for Seven Nation Army dubstep. I recommend that for a tailgate, it will make your balls shake.
Please don't speak for everyone, some of us loved the White Stripes and Seven Nation Army before it was blasted at every sports venue in America.
I just added my fave versions of Temptation (by The Everly Brothers) and The Hawaiian War Chant (by Tommy Dorsey).
Well, faves BESIDES the versions performed by the marching band, of course.
And I found a pretty good version of the fight song. Performed by somebody called the Tartar Band of Compton.
Which reminds me, maybe we should add some Dr. Dre/Snoop.
I don't care for Dr. Dre, and Snoop is now Snoop Lion, apparently. You should check out Snoop's new "reggae" stuff, it's atrocious, and insulting to real Rasta's and Raggae musicians.
Added Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA" and "The Final Countdown".
And deleted Ja Rule.
Added "Sons & Daughters" by the Decemberists. When this song comes on, we all will have a moment of silence.
This is awesome!
Added some older stuff..
Rolling Stones -- Start Me Up
Hollies -- Long Cool Woman
Animals -- House of the Rising Sun
Hendrix -- All Along the Watchtower
Doors -- Break on Through
oh, and the Crue -- Home Sweet Home
EDIT: Also threw some old school country on there...
Charlie Daniels Band -- Devil Went Down to Georgia
Hank Williams, Jr. -- Family Tradition
Billy Ray Cyrus -- Achy Breaky Heart (for the Miley fan)
Alan Jackson -- Chatahootchie
Brooks & Dunn -- Only in America
If you want to have good classic rock in the playlist, you can't continue deleting Led Zeppelin.
They are covers. Zeppelin is not on Spotify.
Ha my bad. I didn't even try to put any on the playlist once I realized that through a search. Would it let you add Zeppelin from your own music library?
IIRC, if you add it from your library, you can only stream it from your device. It won't show up on everyone else's playlist.
Makes sense. Well I would suggest you add some for your own tailgate haha. Cool idea, by the way.
