I was interested in seeing the offensive UFR as well. I know Brian isn't a fan of T.O.P., but I think our inability to one, get the ball, and two keep the ball for any length of time was why we were blown out so bad in the second half. Off the top of my head I think they had the ball 23 min to our 7 min. The length of the time our opponents have the ball in the second half puts a lot of pressure on the offense, when they finally get a possession, to produce TD's. The long, methodical TD drives in the second half of games are killing our offensive production. I know the stats say that we are not really that much better on offense this season than the last, but the regression of the D (Jesus how could the D regress from last season ?!?)is to blame, I feel, for the statistical differences. I know saying getting more possessions will get us more points is a bit obvious, so maybe I just needed to vent.

Time of possession is definitely a relevant stat. It might not matter in every game - sometime a team might score so quick and so often that they really just don't have the ball for very long. But other times, TOP can be very telling - if your opponent gets an extra ten minutes to score aganst you, then that can't be good.
