Offensive line appreciation thread?

We always rag on our Oline and for good reason but the guys really stepped up today in my opinion, I don't think we allowed a sack if i recall correctly. Shoutout to JBB, Go Blue!

I mentioned it also but remember we wouldn't guarantee hi. that he could play RB and we wanted him at LB. but yea 61 240 and moves better than Isaac he would help us. To me it sucks seei g guys we had go somewhere else and perform good if it is a position we could use him at. It was one game but the parts I seen he looked good.

They gave O'Korn a bunch of time on a number of snaps as well. He just didn't do shit with it.

I'm driving to Ann Arbor to see if I can loan Speight a few vertabrae.

We kicked ass in most of the gap blocking stuff today. Good to see two OL coaches (and Drev is the gap guy) paying off. Hopefully the calls for Drev's head die down. His OL is coming around and many of the misses in the air are on the QB not the play call. We have issues on offense but the OL isn't one of them and I don't think the playcalling is (usually) either.

I think I heard the announcers say we had 40 rushing TDs last season, leading the nation. But everyone here called them mediocre. Now that we have a less than mediocre line you are giving them an appreciation thread? Great, the guys stepped up against Indiana. Ask Evans if they opened any holes for him.

Had 84 yards on 2 carries. On one their safety went the wrong way, the other was all Higdon. I can play this game too. I saw OSU run all over IU in week 1, and their o-line has issues. I am happy the line played better today. I am more upset at the criticism last seasons line took and continues to take.

1. He was able to break those two big runs because of the OL

2. Even if you take those two runs out he has 116 yards on 23 carries (5ypc). Still a great game and our leading rusher.

I'm not sure what your agenda here is. Higdon ran well, the OL opened up many holes for him, and Isaac. We ran for over 6ypc as a team and nearly 300 yards. There's not much up for debate here.

Even if we take Higdon's two long touchdowns out, our four running backs gained 167 yards on 39 carries (4.3 YPC).  That's still quite good for an average without the two best plays included.  Especially coming on a day where we couldn't pass at all.

I feel bad for him.  He's a hard working kid and a good player.  I feel like every time he got the ball there were zero holes and lots of penetration.  It's been like that all year.

Higdon is definately faster and gets through the hole quicker, but Evans generally has better vision and shiftyness.  They both have good qualities, hopefully they can put it all together and keep the rushing ball going.

Yes.  When you put up 271 rushing yards against a team that knows you can't throw, you deserve appreciation.  My kingdom for a quarterback.

I mentioned it after MSU that we'd go 120+ yards every game from here on out. And we exploded this game. To me this is stanfordization of Michigan, and we are seeing it. I truly believe Harbaugh saw a Luck 2.0 in peters and he is not meeting that in his eyes. Which means that he may be good (other coaches may start him) but Harbaugh is waiting on him to become that QB. Just a hunch and my non insider take.
