this will get deleted as a redundant thread (despite the additional details), but I will add a name I haven't seen thus far.  David Yost - OC for Mizzou.

He's been with Pinkel for quite a while, so might be a tough pull - but he has the FLOW (hair), and a great last name (Yost) - plus a strong pedigree of running offenses.  They call the attack a spread, but I think it is a pretty diverse offense with lots of passing producing top passers (Chase Daniel) as well.

I will also be hitting F5 around noon, as video of the announcement won't function here at work.  Hopefully someone will embed later as that seems to work whereas live streaming on websites does not.

Yost isn't the OC at Mizzou anymore (he resigned at the end of last season). Plus he turned out to be not very good, and wasn't the OC when Chase Daniel was there (Dave Christensen was, and he's the HC at Wyoming now). If anything, Pinkel is the guy running the offense for the most part.

That's the dangers of using Yahoo search I guess.  I knew Mizzou had a good offense, and did a search for their OC.  Yost is the top result of that search.  Odd.

Yost is the top record returned.  Interesting.

Or has been before?  I know we can't park at the stadium unless you are a season ticket holder.  Planning on just finding a local business nearby and park in their paid lot.  Anyone do this in the past or have a better solution?

I have. We just found a lot on the main road of the stadium there. Park the car, set up shop.

There are a bunch of buses that will take you down to the stadium closer to game time or you can hoof it.

The lots go for a ways down that road.

It's a good time. The stadium itslef is really funky. Looks like half high school stadium and half middling college stadium. Cool atmosphere though. Tons of UM presense.

There are a bunch of lots on Northwestern's main campus, about a 20-30 minute walk from the stadium, where you can park for free and there's a good tailgating scene.  However, you probably need to get there at least 3 hours early to get a parking spot.  I went to the Northwestern-Minnesota game a few weeks ago, and got one of the last spots about 2 hours before the game, and the Michigan game will definitely bring in more people driving from out of town.  Personally, I'm taking the Metra to this game so as not to worry about parking.

More info about parking is on this pdf:

There are people actually answering the OC question.  Whatever, I'll dive in.  Whoever designed our offense from 1990-1994, come on down.  I don't care if that's Moeller, Cam Cameron or Elvis Grbac.  I sure as hell know it wasn't Terry Malone.  Those Michigan offenses were innovative for the time and especially the B1G.

Are you ProfitGoBlue? Anyway, I just saw a clip of people playing on it. It probably hasn't been released yet, huh? They're still waiting in that factory on those pallets in your pic. If there were 30 hours in a day I would totally buy one. Unfortunately J. Steinbeck doesn't like to share my free time with anyone or anything else at the moment unless it involves a girl and a release.

Amazon started shipping yesterday, I believe.  Midnight last night was the official release and people were lined up all over the place to pick up their pre-orders.  Allegedly, people ordering now will have to wait far into next year to get theirs - not sure if true or not.

The big draw is that they now have more PC-like components such that the graphics and online experience is closer to that on computers.  Of course, it comes with a price - $500.  But don't be fooled by Xbox fanboys - Xbox is clearly putting out a second-rate next gen console compared to the PS4 at a heftier price tag.  I don't even have a dog in the fight - I play on PC now.

(If you really want to game, you can be an idiot like me and stay up late after the wife and kids are asleep.)

If I was into polyphasic sleeping then I would game. Watching for a while is cool with me. Gaming is cool for the disconnect you can have with the rest of the world. Go on an adventure that you otherwise would either die from or never be able to complete in such a short amount of time if you were to try it in, gasp, the real world. When I can download my subconscious onto a comp then it'll be game all day and sleep...nope, no sleep if i'm a flippin robot. I just need to make it to 2045 or somewhere around that time and I'll be rocking the latest metal body that all the girls will go crazy for.

Crazy Taxi is still my favorite game ever. My wife, who does research on Alzheimer's and other aging-related neuro-cognitive problems, said that there are researchers using Crazy Taxi in clinical settings. Something about the barrage of stimuli in the game helps elderly people maintain attention or something. I forget exactly, because she says "Crazy Taxi" and my eyes glaze over as I wistfully think of a simpler time and my ears hear the distant sound of The Offspring.

Not sure if serious, but the review embargo was lifted yesterday so there's a lot of reviews of games and the system posted on the various gaming sites. The TL:DR of it was basically the system is awesome, the launch titles are pretty meh.

I was actually going over this in my head last night as i stared at the ceiling wondering whether caring this much about college football was making my life worse.  I know who we don't want - Greg Davis and everyone like him.  Brent Pease no thank you. Northen Illinois guy whaver his name is?  Minnesota's guy?  I don't know any of their names but I was thinking of college offenses that could coexist with Brady - kind of like Al Borges in 2010 at SDSU.  I watched them in the bowl game that year and he was half spread, half under center, and they were very effective.  SOmeone like BOrges only more able to make adjustments to both defenses and his own personnel.  SOmeon that won't completely change the offense and waste Devin's senior year.I would like to hear wht Magnus says on this subject if he can do so without insulting me.
