Given that it's a spoof, I don't find it inappropriate.  It could use a little touching up, though:

Rich Rodriguez Attempts Presidential Assassination

Michigan Coach Rich Rodriguez, long thought to harbor terrorist sympathies, may have shown his true colors when he unleashed a fierce pass-rushing attack on President Barack Obama Saturday.  To the horror of the assembled throng, Rodriguez deployed a weapon of mass destruction - 6'2", 266-pound NFL Draft pick Brandon Graham - directly at Obama following his commencement address.  The assailant made physical contact with Obama before retreating.  No one was seriously harmed, but the nation remains on high alert and Rodriguez, whose program posted an 8-16 record in his first two seasons and  is currently under NCAA investigation, is wanted in connection with the attack.  When questioned, University of Michigan officials refused to explicity reject the notion that Rodriguez is a terrorist.

While it might have been funny (like I thought), I understand the severity of making even small jokes about such a serious matter. I guess this is my Don Imus moment..sorry if I offended anyone, no intention and I understand those who think it was "un couth" Not trying to play around with jokes like that, but thought it would be a great take on a running joke around here. No harm meant. Go Blue! Now where are those nappy headed hoes?
