Obama Shoutout to Denard during Speech in AA

Submitted by MaizeNBlu628 on

I know no politics on the board, but no matter, still pretty cool that President Obama gave a shoutout to Denard during his speech.

Josh Katzenstein from the Detroit New just tweeted:

Obama: "Where's Denard? I hear Denard Robinson's in the house. I hear you're coming back man. That is a good deal for Michigan." #ObamaAA

shoutout? I mean isn't he nicknamed "the Prez" for this exact type of situation?

Glad for Denard. The only way this could have been more perect is if Lloyd Brady hugged him during the shout out.

Didn't his '08 campaign go to East Lansing?  He was yelling Go Green/Go White and praising all things MSU when he was there.  Of course he is going to do that at any destination to boost the vote potential.  Plus he was at that basketball game talking up Izzo.  It is all done to please the crowd.

EAST LANSING (AP) - "Michigan sat home today and was rewarded by a visit from President Obama,” said Michigan State senior quarterback Kerk Cussions following the President's visit to Ann Arbor today. “We could've gone to Michigan too — here's my acceptance letter. I don't see how you get punished for being accepted to Michigan and someone else gets to actually go to Michigan and get visited by the President.

“If this is the way the system is, I guess it's an unnecessarily rough system.”

I wouldn't know where to start the research to find out if "any" President has made a shout-out for a Michigan Player before.  Maybe someone will remember if that has ever happened?

Denard is the man!
