O-Zone Michigan Monday is Up

Submitted by StephenRKass on

Michigan Monday is up at O-Zone at http://www.the-ozone.net/football/2010/Illinois/michiganmonday.html.  Positive write up, and he focused on Vinopal, Demens, and  Avery, saying:

The final thing I should mention was the tremendous interception by true freshman safety Ray Vinopal. He was at deep safety late in the game, and broke on a pass in the seam, sneaking in front of the receiver despite coming from behind him, and then avoided the pass interference entirely. Sure, he fumbled the interception back on the return, but it was just nice to see an instinctive move from a Wolverine playing deep down the field. It's been a while.

Overall, this game really told us nothing other than Kenny Demens should see more snaps, and Courtney Avery will probably be starting before the season is over.

One other thing:  apparently someone on staff over at O-Zone needed significant surgery, and doesn't have insurance. They're raising funds at their front page. Consider giving . . . it would be a nice touch for mgoblogerati to help out.

p.s.  With the new editor, how do I do block quotes? The same way as before, or is there an easier way?

edit: I didn't see a "blockquote" button between italics and numbered list, but I did use the plain text editor and it worked.

Block quotes by  clicking the "Switch to plain text editor"  then use the < Block quote> html tags.  Also, nice to see a positive write up w/r/t the Defense.  The QB and offensive play really overshadowed what the defense was able to accomplish.  Great strides... we're getting better.

I did enjoy the Vinopal interception. Too bad he got blindsided and fumbled the ball. I will agree with Demens being out on the field more, but I'm not sure about Avery. I must not have been paying too much attention to him when he was out there. I was more focused on Campbell and Black getting in to play some at the end of the game.

That Brian gets bored and decideds to UFR virutally all of the D snaps.  I understand not bothering with the O outside of huge plays after we're up by > 24or so but UFRing the D for basically everything would give us a glance into what we've got sitting on  the bench and being able to associate some +/- to them.

But he can still be brought down by an off-hand comment most of the time.

That's actually kind of funny.

In general, I think Mr. Michigan Monday is getting to be quite impressed by the O. Let's just hope he has sufficient reason to remain that way for the duration of the season.

Mr. Michigan Monday has a nice, light, enjoyable writing style that is a pleasure to read. Plus, he seems to be the type of Buckeye that likes and respects Michigan and the rivalry. There is a lot of truth in his writing.

brings all the things ezeh does not to the middle LB position?  Obviously, I don't go to practice, but Demens can make some plays and doesn't seem to et sucked into the wash at the line like Ezeh does.

The last 2 weeks have been very good installments of Michigan Monday from Gerdeman.  In fact, since I haven't been able to watch all of the BGSU game yet, this actually gave me a few things to watch for in the 2nd half.

And just what was my excuse for missing the game?  I was golfing Dubsdread @ Cog Hill.  You don't pass that up.

the best column I've ever read by a Buckeye fan.  If any of the lower primates over at bucknuts read it, their eyes would probably start to bleed...you know, if they could read the words with more than 2 syllables.

"He is currently leading the Heisman race by a wide margin, even after missing three quarters on Saturday. Yes, Terrelle Pryor is doing what he's supposed to be doing, but Robinson is doing what nobody else has ever done before."

has this guy been writing for the O-zone? he has well thought out explanations and analysis and even when he plops a faux neg bomb on our personel or performance he went right back to the positives! surely he cannot be a bucknuts fan. GO BLUE!
