O-line Name Pronunciation Help Needed

Submitted by Adamantium on

So I was just thinking about how I'm not quite sure what the correct pronunciation of Molk is, and then it occurred to me that there are at least five O-linemen whose names I'm just kind of guessing at, and have not really heard pronounced enough times to have it down right. So, a little help from the boards with the following please:

Dorrestein - I'm pretty sure I've got this, but just to be sure, It's DOOR-steen, right? Perhaps DOOR-styne.

Huyge - I think I've heard it pronounced HUGH-gee (gee not pronounced like "gee whiz," but instead like Guy LeDouche from Most Extreme Elimination Challenge). This one is baffling because it relies on ignoring letters that are seemingly out of place like Dwyane Wade.

Molk - This could go either way. I've been saying Molk like it rhymes with chalk, but I think the announcers in the ND game were pronouncing it like it rhymes with James K. Polk (cue "We are the mediocre [beat] presidents! You won't find our faces on dollars or on cents!")

Omameh - This one I think I've got a handle on. Oh-MAH-may. Accent on the middle syllable. It always makes me think of the Japanese fifth taste-sense, umami.

Lewan - Before I saw the BTN's Michigan preview, I'd been thinking LEW-ən, but they were saying le-WAN. I'm guessing they had it right, because I doubt they'd make an arbitrary change like that.

That's all I can think of for now. Thank you Steven Schilling for making it easy on me. Anybody else have any player pronunciation questions? This would be the place.
