The article basically says Kiffin more or less assured his family there would be no sanctions and that Seantrel (well, actually, the article probably says "the Hendersons") is waiting to sign until after the NCAA meets to discuss infractions in a few weeks. This is one of those weird situations where you're obviously rooting for sanctions but would also rather not see Henderson end up at OSU, which looks like it was his second choice.
NYT: Seantrel hasn't signed w/ USC yet. Waiting for NCAA ruling.
Twice, it looks like. Oops. Did a brief search and didn't see anything obvious.
I love the "excuse me post" that always follows.
"But, but.. I did a search..."
I would love to see USC get hammered, theyve been getting away with too many things I would only feel bad for their recruits that just signed LOIs, well only a little in the end they knew that things could go wrong at USC and still chose to go there.
because that is where elite O-lineman go to fade into oblivion.
They have signed NUMEROUS "stud" O-lineman in the past 3 years and their OL is still mediocre.
I would rather see USC and Kiffin get hammered into oblivion than have Henderson not attend tosu.
The article the OP linked to is not identical to the one that was posted earlier. It has a lot more detail about Henderson’s recruiting and is a pretty good read. What I most enjoyed is the recounting of a text sent by Terrelle Pryor:
"Pryor wrote that he should 'come to Ohio State and help win games' and that he needed 'more linemen.'"
Why didn’t he mention the money?
I wonder what his current linemen think about his telling Henderson that he needs "more linemen?" Hopefully, this affects their motivation this year enough to get Pryor pounded into oblivion. It would be great to see OSU have the QB who is less than 100 percent this year instead of Michigan. It would also be great to see UM get to Pryor a lot more this year.
All it takes is a couple of really good hits to take a couple of tenths off that forty time and make those feet "happy."
OSU was out of it. In fact, I don't think they even made his top 3.
